Title: Next season Post by: kerry red on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 11:39:35 Normally I start to get itchy feet in the close season - waiting for the new season to start.
Fixture list is out on Wednesday, talk of the League Cup draw - so why is it that I feel completely disinterested at the moment. Almost dreading the new season starting. Even when there were few expectations about the season ahead, years gone by still got the juices flowing in anticipation. Something's not quite right Title: Re: Next season Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 11:44:43 Have you considered counselling....
http://www.itsgoodtotalk.org.uk/counselling-swindon It's good to talk... Title: Re: Next season Post by: kerry red on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 11:56:34 No promoting BT on the forum, Reg!
Title: Re: Next season Post by: Saxondale on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 12:01:29 Im missing football in general. Considering watching the confederations kickabout cup tonight. Ill get excited about our lot when things actually start happening.
Title: Re: Next season Post by: Gnasher on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 12:05:16 That's easy. The season following PDC's departure was always going to be an anti-climax. Add on the way we threw away promotion last season, plus the budget cuts and lack of trust in the Board = less interest from the fans.

But I'm sure we'll all get back into it, once the fixture list is out and we start signing new players. Title: Re: Next season Post by: Batch on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 13:47:11 Nothing happened to get excited about yet, its been largely bad news and hot air thus far. Namely we need signings I agree. Pre-season training is only just over a week away, then the friendlies..Maybe I'll get excited then.
Title: Re: Next season Post by: DRS on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 13:53:50 Be some signings next week I reckon.
Title: Re: Next season Post by: Honkytonk on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 13:57:28 Be some signings next week I reckon. Not until Chang says so, dammit! Title: Re: Next season Post by: Dr Pierre Chang on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 14:01:59 I wouldn't expect a great deal of activity in the next week, if any. Maybe an exit or two but not anyone in.

We're just in that awkward part of the close season where we are close to all sorts of news but have to endure that quiet 'holiday fortnight'. It happens every year. |
