Post by: kerry red on Thursday, May 30, 2013, 20:54:35 My original prematch routine was
11 in Chris Graham's bookie shop in Stratton for an hour then into The Crown for An hour. Taxi to the old BR club til 2.45 then stagger down Shrivenham Road to the ground Evening games consisted of The Oxford until me and my brother were in early when a hoard of Oxford fans charged in and we got battered. It was the CGH after that Title: Re: Preferred match day watering holes. Post by: dogs on Thursday, May 30, 2013, 21:16:43 The last few years it has just been swindon bowls club and the queenstown.

Used to always be CGH from about 1.30 onwards, don't even bother getting a quick one in there at 2.45 anymore. Title: Re: Preferred match day watering holes. Post by: THE FLASH on Friday, May 31, 2013, 07:46:55 If by bus it's The Sir Dan and then the CGH.
If I drive it's Queenstown and then CGH. Title: Re: Preferred match day watering holes. Post by: Crispy on Friday, May 31, 2013, 07:49:43 Always used to be for home games... Meet in Savoy at 9, down to Dans at 10:30, possibly pop up to Zen's about 12, if not the globe. Then the Tap or Cricket Club about 2. Maybe to Legends at 2:45 for a swift one!
Title: Re: Preferred match day watering holes. Post by: derbystfc on Friday, May 31, 2013, 09:37:58 Used to be CGH, but now as I drive from Milton Keynes, It's Stop off at services for a quick costa coffee, park up at tesco for a wee, meet the old man for a quick beer in either the merlin or legends. have one final beer at the moonrackers when I drop the old man home, and drive back.
The days of not being able to walk out the CGH are now sadly behind me :( Title: Re: Preferred match day watering holes. Post by: Ardiles on Friday, May 31, 2013, 09:57:36 The Glue Pot if I'm with the London Reds.
The Tap & Barrel if I'm with my brothers. The Sun Inn at Coate if I'm with the little ones and need to get a bite to eat before the game. Title: Re: Preferred match day watering holes. Post by: ron dodgers on Friday, May 31, 2013, 10:57:40 I beehive myself before a match
