 This looks good for the continued excellence of the pitch...a good sign.

out of interest why does the pitch need replanting every year?

why cant they use last years grass again?

Just put Whiskey on it......then it comes up half cut.

Just put four tons of sand on it, didn't do Donny any harm ;)

since they appear to have started work, this does seem to severely reduce the likelihood of putting some gigs on (I'm getting down with the kids)

The gigs will still go ahead.

Is this what is done every year just wondered why it hasnt been been publicised previously or is this something new that has been setup

The seed mixture contains a variety of grasses one of which the percentage mix is crucial... If they didn't top and reseed then the grass mixture would change and the pitch would become less resiliant and hence why, year on year, the pitch has become better (there is always an underlying remainder of seed that is left over in the soil and each year it becomes more equal to the initial percentage mix)
