Today I learned I have a natural flair for making puppets for a re-enactment of the English Civil War. I made the kids work look like shit  8) .

Today I learned that Oslo (or anywhere I guess) is an insane place to be when there is a Justin Bieber concerts. I felt sorry for the depressed, bedraggled and miserable looking adults who were being dragged around.

I learned that running 4 miles across fields is very much harder than 5 miles on the path.

In Norway? Apparently so, both of my wife's parents are teachers and they've had students off all week and had national newspapers turning up to interview the students.

Dont know why but it reminded me of the road from Banbury to Shipston on Stour which i did on my rounds twice this week......possibly the nicest 18 odd miles of olde England i have had the privelidge of seeing.

Would recomend it to anyone .

What I learned is that if you're going to apply for jobs via job websites, take a copy of the job listing before it expires or run the risk of ending up in an interview where you don't knowing exactly what the job is and what it pays.

What I learned (recently), is that some companies pay employment agencies to "police" Internet job sites and sites like LinkedIn that flag up new cv's and members. Then contact you with the pretence of having something lined up whilst gleaning relevant info about your current job, status and reasons for leaving. Low and behold you'll get a phone call from your current employers asking if you're happy with your job! Or, contacting your employers asking about the job vacancy for the job you have not left yet!! Be warned!

That the car in front of me is not going to get above 40mph. I did the school run this morning and when I got to the roundabout that takes me onto the main road, there they were..... a recycling wagon, a digger and a learner, all in a merry row. To be fair they were the least of my worries, I got stuck behind a "qualified" driver who managed to drag out one of my common commute phrases "It would be quicker to get out and walk". Gits! I saw a good one yesterday - a Ka was in front of me and got to the roundabout with LEFT indicator flashing; not only did they turn RIGHT but they managed to totally ignore the car to their right who was already on the roundabout  :doh:

It's a long time since I've waved to another driver but I feel that day is fast approaching  :-[

Not to fear getting old, was in the gym this morning and speaking to a 77 year old who told me he had been going to the gym for 60 years this week! Fair play to him!!!

Not quite, but for his age he was doing a fair few curls on the free weights! If I can do that when I get to his age then I'll look back on the conversation I had with him today!
