Title: Oxford united operating loss
Post by: Matt71 on Thursday, April 11, 2013, 16:01:41
1 million for this year total debt of 6 million and they had the nerve to criticise us for overspending!

Surely it must be common knowledge now that they are £30 million in debt?

People in glass houses, guys!!

But if they can overspend by that and STILL remain crap, then that is indeed good news!!

Also, didnt their Chairman say a few months ago that turnover is down, they'll probably be losing even more money this season.

Hypocrites.

In a week of pretty much misery, this has put a little smile back on my face. There's also a couple on there who say they'd like Danny Wilson as their next manager but think it unlikely they'd be able to attract him.

Forever in their shadow though, must remember that.

That is actually a very good point.

Most clubs, us included, keep going by selling a player (Ritchie) or 2 if times get hard.

Who the feck is worth a wank at the Kassam?

Of course they didn't have their big Cup Final in the league this season...

That's why crowds are down.

One thing I do agree with Wilder from that article "It's the supporters that get hurt"!  The rest of it is pure bollocks.

I suppose that's the price to pay for keeping a predominantly non league team overachieving by maintaining league status

Like Crawley, but smaller.
