Possibly not near enough to the ground though.

Not been to York in a while.  Is it where the other pub used to be?  What's it called?

It was the old model railway building, the other pub is Coopers, which looks really ropey in comparison

Looking for it online now - is it called the York Tap?  Google says it is next door to Coopers and it gets good reviews.

Definately heading to the Sheff tap. At least 4 Thornbridge beers including the awesome Jaiper IPA. Gets you shit faced in no time that stuff, fucking lovely. :pint:

Best station pub has to be the Rat Race Ale House at Hartlepool though...

there is nothing that is nice in Hartlepool other than the way out, (and maybe Jacksons Landing)

No really, the Rat Race Ale House is an oasis in a desert of general shitness and despair. But to be fair I'd rather we didn't have to go there again for you to find out

How many tickets sold. This is a massive game and I would expect 1k+. Although with recent despondancy we may not get that many sadly.

Just spoke to club,apparently they have just had email from Sheffield and you can now pay on the day. You have to go to the Promotions Office in Cherry Street and its cash only.....phew!

Just had the same conversation, could have bought and picked up there but may as well pay cash on the day.

I just travelled 30 miles to buy tickets for this and I get home to find out it's been made pay on the day.  :smack:

This, we always take good numbers away but our vocal support has been on the whole poor this season. The bottom half  at Franchise on Tuesday didn't make a peep, they may as well have not been there.

Didn't help that I saw a few town fans complaining to the stewards about people standing up  :doh:

This was like 5 rows from the back as well, certainly doesn't help the atmosphere

We need some ultras, with flares and shit.

It really was awful, there were about 7/8 of us stood up in the back two rows on the right hand side and the rest were sat down in silence.

Whenever we take large numbers anywhere, the atmosphere seems to suffer. You know it's bad when your outsung by Franchise.

Even Coventry was only good in patches, there were 5 minute spells of no noise whatsoever from our fans.

Yeah, the last good atmosphere I remember when we took really big numbers was Leicester last year.

I thought the support at Coventry was good, Pompey on a Tuesday was also good

Another example of a poor away showing was Bournemouth, we didn't sing for the first 7/8 minutes, and sang maybe 5 songs in the entire first half.

Yet when we have a small following, we can be quite good. I remember Southend in the JPT last year, there was only about 300 there but the atmosphere was great.

Stoke was brilliant from start to finish.  Cov and Pompey were the only other good atmospheres I’ve been to this season.  Brentford which normally generates a good atmosphere on that terrace was terrible this season.

I forgot about Stoke, that was good. Although there weren't that many of us there, wasn't it around 1200?

How was Oxford in the JPT?

Crawley was good this season.

I think the circumstances played a part in that.

Only my 2nd away game of the season tomorrow, after I banned myself because the Oxford JPT game was that bad.

Hoping we see a return of Ferry in the middle of midfield and Devera at centre back instead of Flint.

He played as a central midfielder on Tuesday and I'm struggling to think of a forward pass that he made.

tomorrow is one of those games that I just feel like I ought to go. It's not the biggest game nor the most glamorous yet there's something about it

Parking can't be great if ground guide is telling you to park at meadowhall and get a twenty minute tram!

There is an NCP car park about 1/2 mile from the ground.
Drive through the city centre past the Uni.

The Car Park is opposite the Jury's Inn Hotel.

Used the Car Park and hotel last month and the ground was my view from
My room.

Cost to park?

Not a bad shout to park up near a tram stop and jump on.

Their tram network is pretty good

It's about £10 for the day if I remember right.

parkopedia show one on Wellington St where the away fans are welcome in the Devonshire arms. It is a 15 min walk to the ground costing 3.50 for the day.
