Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 20:12:55
I know of CEX, but is there anywhere else that trades in games and consoles with immediate payment? Is cash converters worth it?

What are you selling? You would probably get more from a private sale.

Private sale will net you at least double what any of those places would.

It's the hassle I don't want. I know private sales will get me more cash, buts advertising it. The wife is doing a car boot so I may just get her to take it then.

And you'll get less at a car boot than you would if you traded it in.

For the sake of an hour of your time, it'd be worth advertising it.

You will get a lot more on somewhere like ebay, especially if it is a bundle with console, games, controllers etc.

For what you've got, you would easily get £60+

If you use Facebook, whack it on the For Sale in Swindon page, you'll sell it no problem.

A wii, wii fit board, two guitars, and some games.

I'd probably buy it if I was local.  I'm sure you could sell it easy on Gumtree or the page Ginginho mentioned.

I've sold a couple of things on Gumtree recently and my wife is forever getting rid of random shite on Facebook. All free to advertise and a lot of people use them.

In Swindon or nationally?

Really?

It's called the "For Sale in Swindon" page.

What do you think?
