Title: Paving slabs
Post by: 4D on Monday, April 8, 2013, 09:24:20
Hi all, it's been a while so.....

I am after some paving slabs but do not want the pressed concrete type. Any previous experience or tips on where to buy etc. would be appreciated. @Macphlea, I know you posted some pics a while back showing the slabs that you had laid?!  :sherlock:

Depends on how many you want, what you want to use them for and whether you have a jet washer and want to pay as little as possible. I flogged a load on Ebay. I notice there are a lot more on there.

If you want new, then you need to think about thickness and how much sand you are going to lay them on.

If its natural stone slabs your after,most of it is Indian sandstone nowadays, i would imagine a 15 m2 pack( 4 sizes of slab}
would be £250 ish
Awbs on Cheney manor do some nice stuff.

Rogers at Faringdon manufacture their own - if they are still in business, it was very tatty and a bit run down last time I was there two years ago.

Yes, they are still going, but they make the compressed concrete type of slabs
