As it stands, I've got a feeling we'll still be in League One. Hopefully KMac will be able to strengthen the existing squad with his own players and we'll be challenging again. given what's gone on this season I'd take that.

League One.

Given we were top of the league a few weeks ago that would be pretty bloody poor.

League One in my view...I'm not confident that we'll even make the play-offs this season

League One. Predicted that we would end up 7th at end of season. That may well still happen unless we can find someone who can score some goals. Even if we do, then I think that the playoffs wont end well.

League One. We've just not been good enough over the whole season to go up. Hardly surprising given what has gone on. It's a shame really, probably the 2nd closest we've come to the championship in 20 years.

At the County Ground

I agree with League One but not agree with the thought that we have not been good enough over the whole season.  Around Xmas-time we were playing some of the best footy I have seen since the Hoddle days and we would have walked the league under normal circumstances.  Sadly events turned and the sale of Ritchie and subsequently not being able to strengthen the squad properly will cost us!

League 1 and struggling

League one for me as well.

On current form I just can't see us going up, it will be interesting to see how much KMAC is backed next season, then we really will see how ambitious the board are.

If we had been able to strengthen in January then I would have said championship but unfortunetly I think it will be L1 after losing out in the Play-off's.

Next season will be a big season for us due to our history of what happens after we have a good season and the pressure will be really on KMac to get of to a good start

Play Ferry in the middle and we'll be in the Championship next season. FACT!

Conference South after being demoted 3 divisions for financial irregularities.

15th in L1. We've sacked 3 managers since KMac and are the laughing stock of the Football League. Oh hang on, I'm mixing us with Blackburn  :)

At the turn of the year, after the 4-0 demolition of Carlisle following 5-0s against Tranmere and Portsmouth, with Ward and Devera our untroubled centre back pairing, Danny Hollands and Ferry complementing each other in midfield (Bostock still an option on the bench), Ritchie and De Vita on either wing and Williams and Collins terrifying defences and banging in goals up front, I was certain, and remain certain, that at that time we were by far and away the best team in the league and  set for a repeat of the previous year with a second half season canter to promotion.

Never in my most pessimistic thoughts could I have predicted the 3 months that were ahead of us. The injury to Hollands which saw him go back to Charlton (a turning point I think many have overlooked), the protracted sale of the club, the loss of Ritchie followed by the last minute FL embargo preventing the transfer of Pack Wright-Phillips and Green (who I genuinely think were of a calibre and filled positions that could have made the difference to the squad without Ritchie), the embargo fiasco that we still haven't had fully explained to us, the resignation of Di Canio. So many negative things that have taken their toll on and off the field.

We are only really still in the play-offs due to the simultaneous poor form of all the teams around us. However much we need to remain optimistic and get behind the current squad, this is a shadow of the team Di Canio had at his disposal against Tranmere/ Portsmouth/ Carlisle.

I like to think it's still possible, but after everything that's happened this just doesn't feel like a promotion season anymore.

I think you will find that is mathematically impossible on Saturday but by Tuesday night we could be.

We'll finish lower next season than we do this season. Sadly, for many different reasons the second half of this season has been a complete and utter wasted opportunity.

Have to agree with this DV. PDC leaving really did come at the wrong time and its really affected us with everything going on, embargo related et al. If we limp into the play-offs then perhaps we can save our season but I am not going to gamble my life savings on it.

We will have to royally fuck up not to get in the PO's this year and therefore have a very good chance of promotion.Who is to say that the goalscoring form of Collins,De Vita and Williams will not return?Agree with the Ferry-in-the-middle bit.

Will lose in playoff final this year and finish rock bottom next year and relegated to league 2.

I don't think we can get the whole Town there by next year....but maybe we could get a TEFer on the Mars One project.
