MacDonald avoids the anti-social network

KEVIN MacDonald is making a conscious effort to steer clear of internet forums and radio phone-ins as he looks to guide his Swindon Town side to promotion from League One.

The 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 debate.  Where have we heard that before?

Who cares whether it is called 433 or 451, all that matters is whether it works for us given our current squad.

Anyone who likens MacDonald to Hart either doesn't go to games, or is fucking idiot. (Or possibly both).

Seems more like Malpas than Hart to me. Although the 451 (433) every game is very Hartesque. He's the best of both, Harpas.

Reading the comments on the Adver site is a great laugh, the majority of them are so out of touch with reality that it's hilarious.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, go back to 4-4-2 and we stand a chance.

It is a basic tenet of management (Ferguson's rule)...don't  ask players to do what they can't do.

It's amazing how many think of themselves as some sort of visionary coach, and try to put square pegs into round holes. Our lot should play 4-4-2. PdC for all his coaching badges etc understood this...he did the same yesterday, with Wickham, who was not long back considered the next big thing, getting a game.

MacDonald needs to bite the bullet, and bin 4-5-1 off pronto, no good being pig headed about it.

This seems highly sensible. KMac clearly doesn't have all the players he wants at his disposal in his chosen system and so I think we need to go back to basics and have players playing in their chosen positions.
