Everybody has at least one irish grandparent, and even if they don't then it's an excuse for alcoholism. It's not as if the Guinness hats fund the IRA or anything.

I'm not Irish and havw no irish relatives.  Still had a blinding night at the Woodlands Edge prancing around to the Irish Banjo band.  Excuse for alcoholism indeed, thank god my son's football is cancelled tomorrow.  I will be ill.

They've done well to make St. Patrick's Day such a money-spinner.

It's not for me but well done Guinness/Diageo

At least Diageo is a British based multi-national...doesn't  pay much tax, but at least it does employ a fair few Brits, whose Income Tax will help to plug the gap.

Who but the Oirish...

St Patricks Day in the middle of Lent...wonder if they could export the idea to Saudi for a one day breather in Ramadan?
