Title: Re: stfc60s 70s Post by: RedRag on Friday, March 8, 2013, 20:33:09 Slinky's welcome is a genuine TEF welcome, Droogie
It only seems like yesterday that I climbed the unsteady steps up to the Shrivenham Road stand and was in awe of the young Don. Regular crowds in the high teens then, magic By the time I graduated to the TE as a teen in the early 70s, Little Joe was gone. Never knew that he was more popular than the Don...he did get his shorts dirty, tis true, but that wasn't difficult.
