Not sure how these sites actually work - can you actually withdraw the money? Do you have to put in your bank details.

I need to sort some car breakdown cover. Quidco gives you £30 back, but if you go direct you can get £50 free fuel. If I get through quidco, I'm guessing you can't get the free fuel?

I used to use quidco quite frequently, it works by them depositing money into your account via BACS. You can set the amount to transfer once it reaches a minimum balance. The only problem is some retailers can take a while to pay out, but providing you use quidco any other offers should track.

Quite likely you get both, yes.  The cashback goes to any reseller, Quidco acts as that but passes it on.  They charge £5 per year but take it from any earnings so if you don't use it you don't pay.  I once got £120 cashback for car insurance and the insurance itself was £156, so cost me £36 for a year.

You can't withdraw the money it gets transferred to your bank (yes you need to enter details) when you get enough in your Quidco account.  Think mine is set to £10.  I've had over a grand in cash back from them over the years.  From little cash back from things that I reserve online and collect from store (Halfords, homebase etc....) to the larger payments like insurance and mobile phone contracts that I've had cash back of £60 or £70.

Important thing to remember is that cash back is not guaranteed (never had problems) and is pointless if you can get a better deal elsewhere.

As per Rob says you should get both.  When I did my car insurance, I got £30 cashback via Top Cashback (similar to Quidco) and then £50 direct from Swinton as a cheque.

Just had £60 back from Aviva for house and contents insurance although it took over six months to arrive. Tend to use it more for Insurances (car/house) and Utility switching after using price comparison sites and then see if Quidco has them on their list.

i changed to Virgin using it last year i am due to get £144.00 + £100 credit towards my bills & also 6 mths half price, i had it installed at the end of november & paid my first bill on the 28/2 & it was half price so about £50.00. I also done mine & my dads insurance through them & got £29 & £37 back they took about 5 months to payout. Keep an eye out for some offers that are just free cash, i done one last year with Ladbrooks Deposit £15.00 & get £25.00 back.
