Title: No fairytale ending for Storey Post by: Red Frog on Friday, February 22, 2013, 14:22:32 I see the lazy News Monkey hasn't relayed the story that on a quieter day would have been the Adver's top headline, namely that Miles Storey is out for the rest of the season with a 20cm Grade 3 hamstring tear. In case you missed it:

Hope he's retained next year. Title: Re: No fairytale ending for Storey Post by: jonny72 on Friday, February 22, 2013, 14:24:22 Should have been given a new contract by now. Would be good if Jed sorted it as a priority.

Title: Re: No fairytale ending for Storey Post by: sonicyouth on Friday, February 22, 2013, 14:47:41 today - hamstring problem rules him out for rest of season
jan - ruled out for 7-10 days with hamstring problem dec - knee problem ruled him out over xmas/new years fixtures Title: Re: No fairytale ending for Storey Post by: skay on Friday, February 22, 2013, 14:49:10 Honestly think we should invest in him as it's not going to be a big gamble. Was decent on Tuesday, sharp and a right handful for their defenders. Think also under Di Canio he wasn't given a good run of games despite injuries as PDC was worried about inflating his ego especially after Villa.
Title: Re: No fairytale ending for Storey Post by: Red Frog on Friday, February 22, 2013, 14:56:06 Could be a blessing in disguise. He's unlikely to attract suitors now, and we can wait to see how his fitness progresses and sign him up in the summer on rather less than we'd have had to if he'd been playing regularly.

i hope it's not a recurring problem that he's got or that this period of injuries will hinder his development. Title: Re: No fairytale ending for Storey Post by: DV on Friday, February 22, 2013, 15:11:24 He'll end up at <insert name of club Di Canio manages next>
