I think any club who are in the process of being taken over would think "might be worth asking the question".
Anyway lets hope we can get them all here when the loan market opens or when this takeover is complete as maybe then the FA will sign-off on them. Would you have preferred it if they had sat back and said, "Oh well, the FL won't sanction any deals so lets not even try". If they had done that, the chances are that all three players would have gone to other clubs and we would have lost them completely.Anyway lets hope we can get them all here when the loan market opens or when this takeover is complete as maybe then the FA will sign-off on them. The Club may have even known or at least suspected they wouldn't be approved but, IMO have done the right thing and pushed ahead. Wait until the emergency loan window opens, if we don't bring them in then, we could suspect something is wrong. Unfortunately they should have phoned the Football League instead.
I suspect by putting the deals in place they were trying to put a bit of pressure on them to ratify the deals. It hasn't worked for whatever reason. As these are all loan moves I really do struggle to see why they wouldn't agree them. Even in worse case scenario of us going tits up then the players would just go back to their parent clubs. No/little harm done. As others have said if its a decision based on affordability then how the hell have Pompey been allowed to sign anyone? |
