Which is your favourite badge?

When I started watching Swindon the round one was on the shirts. I prefer the one with the train on and wish they would go back to that one though.

I like the first one for it's tradition but the circle 'st' is really nice as well, tough decision.

I prefer the first one, wish they had kept that instead of a 21st century design, the first one is to do with the history of Swindon.

The middle one looks the best, but a club badge isn't about what looks the best it's about  what represents the club's tradition and history so it's the first one.

The first one is best by miles, always prefered that one to the crappy My First Paintshop Pro effort of the current one

The first one for me.  I like old traditional badges.

I like the first one as well.  Maybe we could do a petition to bring back the old badge.  Didn't Ardiles do that?  On the subject of badges I hate the new Chelsea one.

Are the first two badges still available to buy?  I quite fancy putting the 2nd on my snowboard.

I'm not a fan of the current one, like others have said its steile, lifeless and  shows little of the tradition of the town.

I think we should all do an online petition to bring the old badge back.

I think we should avoid any online petitions at all costs.

The club wont listen anyway, it would cost to much money to get every sign, leaflet, brochure etc at the CG changed. I'd rather we spent that money on a player or paying the bills.

It wouldn't cost that much in the long run what with the club changing shirts and suppliers every other week.

Things like stationary are easily just phased out and replaced as needs be.  Doesn’t cost owt to change letter heads and the like.

Don't think the club produce much in the way of brochures now anyway???

I believe it's one of a possible three dates for the 125yr anniversary for the club next year and it would be a nice touch to bring back of history, even if it’s just for 12 months.

Badge is a badge but I’m not a big fan of the current effort.  Looks like they got the same people who re-branded the first division to the Championship then charged 3 million quid for the privilege.  Didn’t come that cheap either I believe.

“Right lads we need to design a new logo for Swindon Town FC any ideas, let’s brainstorm.”

“What about a big ‘S’ Monty?”

“We can’t get away with just that were charging them 300 grand!”

“Stick it in a diamond and colour it in then.”

“Right you are Giles that’ll do for me, Pig & Whistle in five everyone”

Nah it's not that one, it's the 70's style shirt with the ST badge.

if chelsea can go back to their old badge in their centinary year, and Arsenal can change badges every 10mins, i think we should.

He always has Michael Barrymore signing his numerous petitions.

Close personal family friend and swimming instructor to young Gary I believe.

Those shirts are fraudulent we never had a badge on the shirt until the 70's when the old ST logo was introduced.

 I like the newish one.

Agree with you there Dazzza. I would hope the club will do something re the 125th Anniversary next year. I know there is some issues re when the club officially started, but as we had the centenary in 1981 it would seem daft to have it in any other year apart from 2006.

If they decided 1879 was the right year then 2004 was the anniversary so we've missed it!

We could invite Ipswich for the match as they were our opponents in 1981,  and it would be nice to see Parkin back. And as our shirts will change again next summer, why not change the badge to one of the old ones, most people on here seem to prefer them.

Anniversary's with  25 in are a bit pointless,  any way we missed it last year.

The official club publication to mark the centenary in their eyes, 81....was predictably terrible, apart from acceptable stats from Paul Plowman...it had pictures of the wrong squads for the years and vast amonts of adverts some for businesses that never saw the light of day.

The greatest insult being a photo of a mulletted 70's side containing desperate peg legs like David Munks, Mick McGovern and Hugh McClean......sporting ST logo and collared shirts, being listed as the great 68/69 double side.

You could hire a 1600 Cortina from Godfrey Davis for 75 a week mind.

I'm sure Shitty will do something to mark their 25th year in 2007.

We had  a cortina when I was young, more than one model I'm sure.

I like looking back through the old programmes etc seeing the adverts. programmes for the late 70's early 80's carried supplements with music/car news etc, adverts for cigarettes.

I'd like an anniversary next year, mainly because I'll never make it to the 200th one. 8)
