Title: Doncaster Away Post by: london_red on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 12:18:08 On Easter Monday, 12:15 kickoff now being shown on Sky.
Will that be our 4th televised game this season? Giving Liverpool a run for their money. Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: FormerlyPlymRed on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 12:19:49 Shocking kick off time. Gonna have fun a big effect on away numbers
Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: Peter Venkman on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 12:21:37 Yay I am happy with that...mostly because I won't be going to the game!

Not good for anyone who was planning on going. Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: FormerlyPlymRed on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 14:51:50 Hmm for me to go to this would be looking at getting a train at 5am and getting back at 1am, am I crazy being slightly inclined to do this?

Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: Coca Fola on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 20:18:31 Hmm for me to go to this would be looking at getting a train at 5am and getting back at 1am, am I crazy being slightly inclined to do this? Gotta be done. Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: donkey on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 20:30:30 Yup, a 5 something kick off.. Cheers. I thought it was but when the Adver article made no mention of it, I thought maybe I'd made it up. I'll be at this one...looking forward to a 3-0 win. Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: Summerof69 on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 20:32:04 Hmm for me to go to this would be looking at getting a train at 5am and getting back at 1am, am I crazy being slightly inclined to do this? If you do, don't go anywhere near Reading as there will be major train disruption on the FGW network over Easter : http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/About-Us/Rail-improvements/Reading-station-improvements Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: Peter Gibbons on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 20:49:14 I shall be going to this one (a rare event for me so looking forward to it already!)
Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: suttonred on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 22:28:38 Cheers. I thought it was but when the Adver article made no mention of it, I thought maybe I'd made it up. I'll be at this one...looking forward to a 3-0 win. You know how messy this is going to get ;) Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: LucienSanchez on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 09:01:38 Surprised to see we only get £10k for these televised away games... thought it'd be a little more than that.
Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: 02hodgsol on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 10:10:14 To be honest, I think if tickets are priced at £20 and it wasnt on sky, and an extra 500 people go, thats £10k made up already....imagine if 1500 extra people decide to go thats donnys £30k too...
I think by the time you take this into consideration, only what lets say 1-5k extra could be made.... I thought there was lots of money to be made in sky showing the game live! hardly even worth it Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 10:46:15 Surprised to see we only get £10k for these televised away games... thought it'd be a little more than that. I've often wondered what the fee was (source LS?). To be honest, it's free money to us as we wouldn't get anything normally. 3 games coming up, must help with the funding to extend Hollands' and Martin's loans. Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: london_red on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 10:56:09 I've often wondered what the fee was (source LS?). Sam Morshead tweeted it yesterday Quote Away sides televised by Sky receive £10,000, I am reliably told, while home sides get £30,000 per game. Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 10:59:13 These are the figures I heard when I posted it last week too.
Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 11:19:33 Thankyou both
Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: LucienSanchez on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 11:24:22 Cheers, should have said it was at the end of one of the Adver articles yesterday/this morning
Title: Re: Doncaster Away Post by: donkey on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 20:15:48 You know how messy this is going to get ;) I fear that it could be...however, I have the journey on the train back to Chicester to sober up!
