SWINDON Town paid up Oliver Risser’s contract in full in order to allow the midfielder to leave the County Ground, the Advertiser understands. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/10145707.Golden_handshake_as_Town_pay_up_Risser_s_contract_in_full/?ref=rss Title: Re: Adver News: Golden handshake as Town pay up Risser's contract in full Post by: Leggett on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, 08:00:33 so much for freeing up wages...

It may be reduced if the player would rather go (for higher wages and/or signing on fee elsewhere) or no payment at all if the player requests a move.

It may be reduced if the club and player agree a settlement, for instance if it is in the player's interests to go (for higher wages and/or signing on fee elsewhere) or no payment at all if the player formally requests a move. Happy to be corrected by those more in the know!
