It may be reduced if the player would rather go (for higher wages and/or signing on fee elsewhere) or no payment at all if the player requests a move.

It may be reduced if the club and player agree a settlement, for instance if it is in the player's interests to go (for higher wages and/or signing on fee elsewhere) or no payment at all if the player formally requests a move.
