With 20 years experience in manufacturing operations analysis, optimisation and technology solutions (during which time I've also become heavily involved in app development) I figured it was time to take a deep breath and take the plunge. I guess many of you will say it's not a good time (I guess it couldn't be any worse) but in my last role as a research Director with Gartner their was a large number of major clients looking for boutique systems that filed the gap between big players like SAP, Oracle etc and Excel spreadsheets. The other area that was becoming increasingly popular was tablet technology for data collection, retail POS and information points. So, with these things in mind I've started up 'The IT Partner Ltd' with the intention of providing process optimisation & integration services. I've also secured sole UK rights to Lilitab - a secure iPad housing that can be used for data entry points, kiosk solutions, POS and information points.
