I hope it works out for him. Want him to go back to the Roberts we were excited to sign.

Agree.  He looked great pre-season.  Fingers crossed he turns it around in the second half of the season.

All it needs is a goal to go in, deflected off his arse or something and he will be up and running. Confidence is going to be key if Roberts is going to be transformed.

Think it will take more than that BO, but I agree it's as much confidence as anything. And concur with t'others, hope he can find it, seen it little glimpses this season but hasn't quite seemed to spark

He was good at Walsall, Portsmouth, Carlisle and a few other places on the road. I think his biggest problem is he's never really played well at home and shown the season ticket holders what he can do, and now you can sense them getting on his back whenever he makes a mistake and the confidence being sucked out of him. Doesn't help that he moves like a footballer 10 years older. I think that injury Douglas inflicted on him a couple of years back Fernando Torresed him.

I was shocked when I read that he is only 28 - he moves like a guy right at the end if his career. Mark Walters had more mobility at 37. They would be nice, Ritchie on one side, Walters on the other.
