Pah, never liked him anyway...

Good luck to him.  Wasn't with us long, but he did the job he was brought in to do.  A professional.  He'll be one of those players who will be well remembered in years to come.

Benson is so last year.

Thought he might not be up to top end league1 but a decent squad member nonetheless .the new players coming in mean this is not a major loss.

He's only signed for a month and it's not a done deal that he's actually leaving us. I struggle to understand why he would want to go there permanently given their finiancial troubles anyway, wonder if he's had any choice in the matter.

he's on 10k a week like everyone in the team remember.

Was under the impression he was carrying an injury as no real sign of him recently so game time with Portsmouth for a month could do him and us a favour. Like him a lot, a good honest professional, hope it works out.

Yep, love me some Benson. Bit of a shame that. I remember when we signed him, Charlton fans didn't have a bad word to say about him. I'm sure it will be the same this time with Swindon fans.

One of the great qualities that you see in the likes of Benson,when players move up from non-league and through the
lower leagues,often as a late developer,is their sheer honest endeavour.Good luck to him in the future.

Rooney was part of the Caddis deal though so we cant. Unless they arent fussed on Caddis and Paolo has forgiven him.

Benson was always 100% committed to the cause and fast became a fans favourite! Hopefully he'll score a few and come back to us in January! I'll always remember the Wigan goal and the goal up at Morecambe on Good Friday, great scenes!!!

Real shame Benson is going, like others have said his attitude and hard work always comes across as 100%. Hope this works out for him and I'm sure he will score goals down at Pompey.

Always a second faster in the head and controlled many centre backs with his movement.

Massive fan of Benno, always put in 100% and scored some vital goals too. Top bloke aswell.

Agree with y'all. Really pissed off to lose him but hopefully he will score and make a shedload for Pompey and PDC will have to admit that he can play well in League 1 also  :D

PDC once said that Benson is a player that he would take with him to whatever team he managed.

He's only going on a month's loan. It's not as if he is off for good. OK he may well be but it's hardly set in stone yet. I do wish him all the best there though.

PDC has done nothing but slag benson off this season. I suspect its because he backed caddis in that interview to the adver.

Had the same thought to be honest, it may have been coincidence but it all started at that time.

I think that was the beginning of the end for Benson.

To be fair he also said he didnt want to let him go,and made sure he got him the right move.

Oh right, well maybe Benson wanted more game time then. Can't blame him.
