Just listened to the phone in on BBC Wiltshire from last night - he does come across very well and positive about the club.

I like the fact that he joked about what his favourite cheese is and that he has asked for an actual 3 year plan to be drawn up.

Hopefully the club is in safe hands. Welcome SWP.

- He thinks the club has a good set up (mentioned Bodin’s youth team)
- He reads blogs and the TEF and think that we are an intelligent bunch (obviously not read any of 4D's Q&A)
- Looking to increase the size of the board, maybe get some property experts onside.
- Want the club to be run better, not that it is run badly.
- Like PDC's passion and drive but doesn't really agree with the public bollocking of players and on pitch antics towards away fans
- Doesn't answer hypothetical questions.
- Asked to see the 3 year plan which apparently doesn’t actually exist so has asked for one, including full financial predictions, to be completed.
- Doesn’t know of any arabs wanting to invest
- Has faith in PDC’s to do what is right.
- Looking to get in more players on loan but have almost spent the whole year’s budget already.

Did anybody see it on Soccer Am on Saturday? PDC up to his antics versus Villa at the end of match, on the pitch... they added some dance music to it and played it back and forth.

Probably has more inside knowledge of MI6 than he would let on!

I shall have to discuss the Middle East with him - after my 9 months in Aden/South Yemen in the 70s, of course, makes me an expert on the region.

Interesting to hear that he said he doesn't agree with public bollocking of the players. Wonder whether he raised this with PdC at their meeting last week which is why PdC then explained his reasoning for doing it to the adver? :hmmm:

Just another thing to add to the 'code of conduct'

We used to have a code of 'common sense and the bleeding obvious' before Paolo and now we need a 'code of conduct'.

Paolo has just reached the crest of the hill and will start to take a pretty sharp downward slide.

A simple tip for PDC if someone upsets him:

1. Take a deep breath.
2. Walk away from the situation.
3. Later, when you have calmed down a bit, ask to talk to that person in private.
4. Make sure that the meeting is set for a time when you are calm and can focus on this one topic. Do not add other unrelated items to the agenda.
5. Stay calm and collected and keep your voice on an even keel.  
6. Say 'When you do X it makes me feel like Y. If you do X again, I will react by doing Z.'
7. Then give the other person time to state their case, remembering to remain calm throughout.
8. At the end of the meeting, recap on what has been agreed.
9. After the meeting, document the discussion and send it to the other party to ensure that they agree with the outcome.
10. File documentation for use later if necessary.
