I know that you read this forum on occassions so can I say a MASSIVE thank you for your time and efforts over the last 18 or so months.

I have been a supporter of Swindon for near 40 years and you are by far and away the best and most open Chairman that we have had in that time. You always let us supporters know what is happening week in week out and nothing is obviously hidden from us, your communication with fans is absolutely top class.

I have met you a couple of times and you are a perfect gentleman and always eloquent and polite.

Thank you and I hope that you stay at the club on the board as it would be a huge shame to lose you from STFC.

Got to agree with all that has been written, first met him at a fans forum-type thing at the Moonrakers, he stood in for Fitton and received a well deserved round of applause when he was announced.  Was gutted when AF stood down, not as much as today though.  Hope we will still see you JW and you do not cut your ties completely with STFC.

The Wray is dead, long live the Wray.

It has been fantastic to have an open, honest person as our chairman, willing to say no when necessary, but overall someone to have faith in a new manager and provide him with what we needed to get to where we are now. You have rebuilt the club from the wreck it was after 2010/11. Deeply saddened to hear that you're going. If I ever meet you I'm definitely going to buy you a pint.

Wray did a fantastic job to help turn this club around. He should get a lot of credit for the work he has done here. Gutted he is going.

He's the only director I have ever seen going around every game, talking to all his workers and fans saying hello. Never again will we have a board member willing to answer all our questions and be honest.

I reckon PDC and Watkins will follow.  Fairly plain to see Black wants to take the club in a different direction.  That could involve a total board and management reshuffle!

Maybe they are paying Patey £60K a year less than Wray, to get us back under the salary cap. Thats why they made the change, to keep Paolo happy !

In reality he wasn't part of the playing staff plus he was taking a salary anyway. Shame but nope we'll have to do better in order to "cancel" the embargo.

Jeremy was a class act in his time as interim/chairman, a decent guy, approachable and we know he reads the TEF, so thanks Jeremy, hopefully he can come back and watch what he was a major part of what has been created at our club.

If Paolo goes, that's his choice. My guess is he would want to see the project achieved but either way we will still have Swindon Town.

Some of the responses on Twitter are frankly a joke and achieve nothing but ridicule from supporters of rival clubs, some of these people need the laptops/phone etc confiscated until this all blows over.

Own personal fun story about Jeremy, minibus heading to Hartlepool, Swindon flag at the rear, all generally acting like pissed up buffoons, moonying at a coach of girls on a hen do, etc. Jeremy's car sees it and over takes with a big grin on his face giving it the thumbs up.

I've literally never seen a chairman so universally liked by a clubs fan base, there's almost always someone out there who has a bad word to say about a chairman but not Jeremy. I can't imagine he'd go short of a few bought pints in the pubs of Swindon for a long time.

I'd echo the sentiments he was a good chairman and will be missed always willing to tell it as it was will be sorely missed, I wonder if he is having a leaving do we can all attend !!

I chatted with him at a friendly at Hampton just after he started, he didnt even mind when i asked him "how's it going Nick"

Just generally thought he was a good chairman and got pdc what he wanted. Not sure about this new guy. Just hope he is not one of those guys that tells u what u want to hear. Suppose it's a case of better the devil u know really. I thought I could see mr wray from the drs sat by the steps. Good to see that there is no hard feelings and that he still feels welcome. Might change his mind and be on the board.
