Title: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: stfcinbmth on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 08:50:25 Other half has just had a text from Vodafone saying her line rental is going up. Presume they can change the terms and conditions when it suits them? Buried in the small print somewhere?
So by the same token if they change the terms and conditions and you don't happen to agree with them can you cancel the contract? Presume not Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: Lash_sumthin on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 09:12:59 Yes. Maybe (no) +10% or of material detriment

To add insult to injury the Blackberry Curve they supplied as part of said contract is shagged, trackpad has gone Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: Ginginho on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 12:44:08 How much does she pay a month mate?
I'm with Vodafone, I pay £15 a month and had a text saying the price is going up from 1st November. I checked their website and it's going to be £15.30 a month, so not exactly extortion :) Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: stfcinbmth on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 13:38:59 How much does she pay a month mate? I checked their website and it's going to be £15.30 a month, so not exactly extortion :) She pays £25, whilst I agree it won't be much of a rise but coupled with the fact the phone is U/S, it's more the principle of the thing. You sign a contract at an agreed price Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 13:42:52 My contract runs out at the start of December and I can't wait to go back to PAYG. I'm sick of being tied down to contracts all the time. Just going to keep my current phone. I no longer use it as much now I have a tablet PC so there's no point in upgrading to a new handset.

Like a reoccurring subscription charge being made against an expired debit card. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: stfcinbmth on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 17:14:15 Should be illegal Batch
Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: jonny72 on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 17:46:30 You sign a contract at an agreed price. No you don't. You sign a contract with agreed terms, which include price and other things such as the ability to terminate and for the price to be altered under certain conditions. If you don't like it don't sign it. I take it you are also against getting a pay rise, on the basis your employer should keep paying you the same as was written in your employment contract? I didn't sign it, she did but I'm expecting a text soon Pay rise, what are they? Already on a pay cut of 5%. Just been told this week I'm in the pot for redundancy yet again, but of course I'm pleased with your input Just to add, should I be one of the ones hanging on I shall be losing my shift allowance of 20% Title: Re: Mobile Phone Contracts Post by: otanswell on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 18:08:00 You can get the phone fixed under warranty mate. I work for them, the prices are only going up in line with the retail price index
