Their game got postponed tonight so not looking good for Saturday as forecast to rain all week which is gutting as I was looking forward to this one.

May not be a bad thing given they also have a new manager in Kevin Blackwell, and like tonight, will mostly likely be extra spurred on....I'd also say it's a bad thing as I'd like to see how we respond to tonight's defeat by having a stormer on Saturday!!!

You could be right but i was looking forward to my Saturday football as i won't be making the trip up there on a Tuesday night.

I only live about an hour from Bury but can't make it on Saturday. On a purely selfish note, I wouldn't mind it being postponed!

I wouldn't mind it being called off. Supposed to be at an evening wedding do that would mean leaving Manchester Piccadilly at 1735 which might mean leaving Gigg Lane early, which I hate doing!

On a Saturday afternoon getting from Gigg Lane to Piccadilly is a solid 40 minute drive at minimum, you are cutting that one fine even with a good taxi driver!

I'm not sure it would be a bad thing, they have a new manager and we saw last night what that can do for a team. Also, we have played a lot of games lately, so we could probably do with the rest.

I'd been given to believe that they were no better than average and that the main issue was us being gash?

They weren't a footballing team, organised and closed down midfield space. We didn't try to play football against them. So I guess the answer is yes.

I don't suppose anybody is driving back anywhere near Sheffield or M1 Junc 34 (Meadowhall) as I need to be back for an event at 6.45 and can't get back that quick on the tram / train?

If not (like Hitchin Red) I might be getting a taxi back to Manchester Piccadilly to get 17.43 train. According to AA Route Planner only 19 mins from Gigg Lane to Piccadilly so would hope to do it in under 40 minutes even in Saturday evening traffic.

Argh mate in Manchester wants me to go up and incorporate watching this and celebrating his birthday with him :/

The other option for getting to Piccadilly  after the match is to get a tram from Bury Interchange. Mind you it's 15 years since I lived in Bury and I've forgotten how long that takes!!  :doh:

Between 40 and 45 minutes and they run every 12 minutes from Bury to Piccadilly.

Says takes 30mins here but think the tram stop in Bury is about 15 mins walk from the ground so it will be tight for sure.

Think I'm better aiming for 1755 train at Piccadilly from the previous posts. Don't think her indoors will be too impressed but that's life!

Gone for it. Lots of money and a 8 hour train journey tomoz! Best get a fucking result although a night out in Manchester will make up for it anyway!

From Memory there a pub on the main road downhill from the ground where I once spent about 10 minutes trying to reverse into a parking space whilst a crowd of town fans watched on and mocked me with choruses of clown music.
