Been playing it all week on the early release. It's amazing.. And Swindon's stats are too!

Can't find anywhere really to say if it's going to be released on mac osx this time around. fifa 12 was put up by gametree but they're not selling it this year.

Anybody tried PES 2013 - just wondering if they have got back on form again instead of the their recent shite (although 2012 wasn't that bad)

Do they have the match day feature for Swindon where the stats go up and down according to form and the live fixtures feature?

Or do they only do that for the top leagues?

I've downloaded the DEMO for PES 2013. It looks pretty good. 2012 was a massive change for this game. I remember playing 2008 (last PES i brought before changing to FIFA) and that was awful!

FIFA has just been a better all round game recently! I miss playing the old school PES!!

PES 2013 gameplay is the best I've experienced from any football game but the game modes are lacking. I cream over master league so I'm in heaven but there's plenty of complaints.

I bought PES13 and whilst it's better than previous years (since 2008 when it was the only football game to own!), the shooting is still really sluggish. I've hit a few shots which seem like they're going over the bar, and they end up in the top corner.

The queue went from the entertainment desk all the way round the edge of store to the checkouts. After 10 minutes I'd moved 4 feet. Turned around and ordered from Amazon for same price. Came the next day too.

Only time I've queued for a game at midnight was GTA IV, rolled into Asda Walmart at about 11:45 and the queue was half-way through the womens shampoo aisle, one of the workers whispered to me and my mate that West Swindon Asda was selling it too, and there were only 10 people queuing... we veeeerrrrryyyyy sllloooowwwlllyyy and conspicuously made our exit from Walmart and ragged it over there, we were 15th and 16th in the queue, jobs a good'un :D

The midnight releases only tend by busy if the game is being sold cheaper than normal standard price. A few years ago Asda did COD and Fifa cheap and the queues were massive for them as people didn't want to miss out on the cheaper price. Now the supermarkets don't seem to bother doing it any cheaper than other standard retailers so that's probably why many don't waste the time and effort getting it at midnight.

Just downloaded for iPad looks pretty good, it download to my phone to and you can sync though the cloud which is nice

never liked fifa's but played the demo of 13 and thought it was very good, might get it if i can find the time to play it.

Brought it for my boys last night. I had them at their house last night & they were playing on it, then went to bed just before the ex missus came home, i carried on playing it. 2 hours later the ex told me i had to go as she wanted to catch up on eastenders & that it was 1.30am.
I think i could be in the dog house even more now.

Started my Be A Pro as a left midfielder, manager wanted to loan me out but I'm only up against De vita for the position (as Roberts and Ritchie are fighting for right mid) so I turned it down, gonna stay and fight. Tore my calf muscle in the final pre-season game and missed 8 weeks, but have played 3 or 4 games, 2 goals and 2 assists in return so far.

Also started a manager with Swindon, 3rd after 10 games.

Started a 'Be A Pro' career last night. Loaned out at Preston at the moment. The silly bastards keep buying strikers though.

Two/three days on, and what is your verdict on the ipad version?

Still getting used to the one touch stuff but overall thoughts are that it's an improvement on the last game. Much more attention to detail on little things this time round. I'm playing World Class at the moment, still not ready for Legendary.

On loan at Nottingham Forest on career mode at the moment from Chelsea in the second season, played 5 with 4 clean sheets and got a call up to the England squad, injuries and what not meant I played agianst Turkey in goal.. Lost 3-0, much harder! :no:

I've gone 6 wins, 4 losses with my Ultimate Team, but 3 of those losses have come from the servers dropping the game. Really fucking frustrating as it arses up my dnf rating!

What's your team like? I got really lucky that i had got Xavi who i sold for 100,000 and then Joe hart from another pack who sold for 55,000 and Adam Johnson for 18,000. I've managed to get a half decent side together now!

Jammy fucker indeed, got fuck all decent from the couple of gold packs I've had, haven't got enough players to make a full gold team yet, likewise Silver. Trying to pick up unfashionable players off the auction house but it's a bit of a bugger! 

I had the same problem last year on FIFA 12. I just went for pace mainly as this can get you out of trouble in games.

Go for the cheap ones like Tello, Callejon, Pedro, Juanfran. All quick and good stats.

Also, if i get any other players in packs in the future that i don't want or need i can sell them to you on the cheap if you want?

I cannot defend for toffee on this - took me a while to get used to the new defending on FIFA 12 but thought I had the hang of it - now however on the new game opponents go round my players like they aren't there - even when I'm using the jockey and contain buttons to try and stop them!  I'm scoring a fair few but losing games 3-2, 4-3 etc because I cannot work out how to defend properly!!

I daren't play online yet until I've got the hang of it otherwise I'll get slaughtered!!

Anyone else struggling with the defending?

I struggle with the CPU just running around my players so i've resorted to making huge slide tackles, kept clean sheets in the last 4 games so seems to be working!

It takes time to get used to and i'm still shite at defending but i manage to score more than i'm letting in so i'm happy with that.

I tend to keep clean sheets on World Class. When I move up to legendary I have a lot of 2-2's, 3-2's etc.

I have made the full swindon team which is a mix of bronze/silver. Just playing silver cups at the moment to build up some coin to form a gold team. Currently have 39k. Pisses me off how some people spend good money on buying gold packs to form shit hot teams. It's lovely when I beat them though with my little Swindon team :)

Built 3 squads, an all silver, all French Ligue 1 team playing 3-5-2, my first Bronze squad and a Swindon squad, both playing 4-4-2. Mostly using my Silver squad in the Online league, won the fifth league, got promoted from the fourth and after 4 games I've secured my position in the third league. Plenty of games left to push for promotion, the coin for winning these comps is pretty sweet! Gonna start building a Gold team now, finding there's A LOT of contracts for 150 coins in the auction house so that'll see my current squads through for now!

The 'Be a Pro' is slightly odd! In January where I'm on loan to PNE, I've been called up to the full National side.

What's not to understand? It's a card trading setup with which you create teams, with team chemistry coming from players of the same team, league or nation. Enter comps, win coins, buy packs, improve team. Repeat.

got Lahm in a gold pack I got for winning the Ultimate Team online league. very happy. had to get 21 points from 10 games, an 87th minute goal in the 10th game got me the win. Lahm fits in my all German, all Bundesliga team perfectly!
