Was about to moan about this before I read the article properly and realised its a home game, not an away one!!  :D

Great news, now I can drive to a gig in Birmingham on Saturday at my leisure.

I'll not be telling the wife of the change until the last minute, christmas shopping on the saturday is really not on my wish list !

Probably reading far too much in to this, but I was hoping the 'under lights' bit was a cheeky reference to the last time we had to rearrange a home game vs Tranmere.  They weren't too happy on that occasion, as I recall.   ;)

Looks like I'll be giving this one a miss. Christmas overtime will be in full effect for me.

I'd love that to be the case, but I guess not.  Did you see the Tranmere programme from the playoff match, I'm sure they made a reference to it in a light hearted way.

Friday night piss up for me and victor mildew.

Traveling to Hawaii on the Saturday to spend a couple of week there over Christmas.  Was going to miss this game but not anymore!

I've got it in my head that Tranmere used to play a lot of matches on a Friday night, I don't know if they still do.  It was something to do with making policing easier with Liverpool & Everton all in the same neighborhood, and plod struggling with manpower...

I'm not convinced this will increase the attendance.  The Friday before Christmas is traditionally the busiest night of the year in pubs etc due to people being out on work dos or finishing for Christmas.

It will feel a bit strange having a home Friday night game but it may throw Tranmere ( the team ) out of sync with travel times etc and should benefit us more than them.
