PAOLO Di Canio wants his Swindon Town players to show devotion to his regime as he looks to avoid his Robins side becoming an “anarchist team”. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/9928825.It_s_Paolo_s_way_or_the_highway_as_manager_outlaws__anarchists_/?ref=rss Title: Re: Adver News: It's Paolo's way or the highway as manager outlaws 'anarchists' Post by: wiggy on Friday, September 14, 2012, 08:16:01 I know we only read the bits the adver want us to read to make a story, but if I was Jeremy Wray and had to manage PdC, I would be starting to have concerns about him about now. The club has invested big time in the playing squad, and can't afford for PdC to continually alienate senior players. A good manager should be able to convince senior pro's that his methods are valid without having to make ultimatums.
Of course there is a flip side to the argument that players on thousands a week should be expected to train exactly how you tell them without complaint, but having managed departments with some pretty big characters in, you have to be able to manage each person individually to get the best out of them. "You are with me or against me" is only ever going to be divisive.
