Come on fella, you know that is wrong. Driving on the pavement..! It's laziness. Turn around and follow the diversion. Easy.

I'm no saint when driving, but there is no way I'd mount pavement to avoid a road block. It's not fucking hard to find a different route that avoids Victoria Hill.

But what if your satnav is telling you to go that way?

A little bit of common sense surely comes into play, If my sat nav told me to do a u-turn on a motorway because I missed my exit, I wouldn't do it. Besides don't sat nav re-route you?

My comment was meant to be tongue in cheek.

This. I'd drive on the kerb like this, completely harmless in my opinion.

Heathens.

It's not on the kerb though, it's on the whole pavement. Is it harmless when there are clearly pedestrians on the path?

Of course. It's not like anyone's taking a chance with their lives. The cars aren't doing 50mph and it's not like drivers have never encountered a pedestrian before or are incapable of seeing them.

Besides on this video it's one bloke and the way I've heard some people talking about it, you'd think he was lucky to escape with his life. Just put up a bigger barrier.

Im not saying its right but its trivial compared to some of the issues going on right now.

Driving on the pavement is illegal, whether pedestrians are there or not, whether 1 is affected or 100 makes no difference.

The attitude of "it's ok, no-one got hurt" is a shit one quite frankly.

Car drivers maybe looking out for pedestrians as they are on the pedestrian route but pedestrians won't be looking out for cars. If a car was to hit a pedestrian there's only one winner so why heighten the risk of doing it, oh yeah it's because they're fucking lazy dicks.

Dead right here...unfortunately, there are many lazy dicks who assume that being behind a wheel  gives them some sort of authority over the rest of us....you can see it in the number of people who flout the no driving and mobile phone use laws.
