Having had some really bad experienced with a plumber. No names mentioned.

Really need a decent plumber to put a few jobs right and also check a couple of dodgy jobs that he has done.

Can anybody recommend a good and prefably cheap plumber?

Had a new kitchen tap installed it keeps coming lose and needs fixing.

We had a new bathroom tap installed after water coming through the roof, just want it checked.

I use gvhall for plumbing and heating. not the cheapest but the job will be done properly

We use MRD plumbing & heating at work for any plumbing issues that may arise. He is fairly cheap but also does a good job.

I use Andy Compton Plumbing and Heating (721290). He never advertises and gets work through word of mouth which is usually a good sign. Not sure about costs as never bothered to go down the quote route.

I used Alacrity to sort out a toilet blockage. It was a pretty shit job to do (boom boom) and they had to replace a section of pipe outside. They sorted it out and the price was very reasonable. I've used 5 or 6 plumbers over the years and they've been the best so far.

Is that the Andy Compton who plays cricket ? Not sure which club hes at these days but I played a few times for Swindon youth teams with someone of that name. Are mates rates still valid when you haven't spoken to them for 25 years ? :hmmm:

Have always used AJW Plumbing and Heating for everything from a dripping tap to a new boiler. Again, they don't advertise but always seem to have plenty of work on. Give Andy a ring on 07970 912451.

Have used Water and Power on a couple of occasions, got me out of deep ship two winters ago when I put a nail through a heating pipe, really good price as well.

They also replaced a downstairs toilet / sink etc.

I think that was Denis Compton - ok for Brylcreem but not for plumbing.

I know a super plumber, goes by the name Mario.
