Title: Free streaming football Post by: jayohaitchenn on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 12:32:05 I've been introduced to this bit of software that lets you watch pretty much anything off that is streamed off the internet in one place. It is fucking brilliant.
Firstly, you need to get the base media player. It is called XBMC. This part of the process is totally legal as it is just a freeware media player. http://xbmc.org/download/ Once you have installed that you need some add-ins. There are literally thousands of video add-ins but the one I use is called Sportsdevil. Download from here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=100031 Once you have the zip file, open XBMC go to system -> settings -> add-ins -> install from zip file and then browse to where you saved Sportsdevil. Once you have done this you are ready to go. To open Sportsdevil, got to Video -> add-ins and select it. The amount of options is fucking mind-boggling at first but once you get used to the structure it's relatively easy to use. There is also a movie add-in called Navi-x which I have watched some HD movies on. Remember kids, Google is your friend. Enjoy x Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: Samdy Gray on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 12:48:01 I use XBMC but didn't know about this Sports devil thing.
Cheers Johnny boy. Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: Lash_sumthin on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 14:08:11 think theres an addon called navi x which is similar.

Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: slinky on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 16:02:22 Have installed. A nice little addition to the HTPC. Cheers :beers:
Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: stfcinbmth on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 18:22:43 Got XBMC installed on my main pc along with the Navi-X plugin. Had it a while now but not really bothered with it too much, looks like folk just share folders on their pc.
Will look at installing Sports Devil at some stage Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: Joycie on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 21:42:52 Ooh.
I use SopCast and BloodZeed's channel. Pretty much every PL game on Sky Sports/Setanta/ESPN in HD. Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: donkey on Monday, September 3, 2012, 18:48:25 Given the lack of announcements re the NFL on TV, will this bit if kit let me have access to the NFL too?
Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, September 3, 2012, 19:06:20 Yep and cricket and other boring sports too.

Yep and cricket and other boring sports too. Cheers. Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: Abrahammer on Monday, September 3, 2012, 20:52:11 Sky are just playing hardball with NFL, they will get a deal done as they would lose a lot of customers if they don't.
C4 have the rights for the main Sunday night (Monday morning technically) game already Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: jonny72 on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 19:40:35 Just got XBMC up and running on my Apple TV.
Anyone got any more recommendations for live sport? Got Navi-X and Sportsdevil but both appear a bit patchy to say the least. Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: jayohaitchenn on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, 10:56:56 It seems to be getting worse to be honest. It always works brilliantly around the time of an update then gets steadily worse till they release a new version.
If you find any better, let me know. Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, 12:11:52 cricfree.tv always has the UK sports channels streaming live
Title: Re: Free streaming football Post by: jonny72 on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, 16:05:58 Thanks.
cricfree.tv via the Streamon plugin did the trick. |
