Winkleman slams officials

Franchise chairman Pete Winkleman took the unusual decision to prevent his manager, Karl Robinson, or any of the club’s players from talking to the media after his side’s defeat to Swindon Town on
  Saturday.

Pete Winkleman, the man who missed the point.

He says.."It wasn't even a free kick"..two things wrong with that Pete. Firstly, it was a free kick and secondly, even if it shouldn't have been a free kick, that has no bearing on whether or not Lewington should have been sent off.

Then he says..."the Swindon player’s gone and grabbed Dean actually round the throat"...at no point did that did happen Pete. You've just made that up.

He then adds.."and Dean’s raised his elbow to take him away from it."...BINGO!!!! That's the whole point right there! You raise your arm like that and you are in serious danger of getting red carded and that's what happened.

As long as Winkleman and Robinson carry on blaming officials rather than their own players, their disciplinary record won't get any better. Long may that continue 8)

The Lino on the Arkelks side was much better than the overweight men in black that usually run the lines. There was no question of anything less than a red for Lewington, it was just whether or not he saw the incident. Everyone at Franchise, except some of the supporters seem oblivious to the fact that their discipline will have a serious impact on their promotion hopes if the red cards keep coming. Like OST says, long may it continue.

Anything that upsets Winkleman is excellent.

Well done Dean Lewington.

Ha! Having just watched it myself (and echoing comments above), how can Winkleman come out and say that a Town player had Lewington by the throat is beyond me.

RE: The tackle. The MK player looks to have got a touch on the ball after going in from behind, I don't like it when those decisions go against Town but they do and you get on with it.

Surely, by now Lewington knows that there are cleaner ways to disrupt the flow of a game?  :bye:

In view of their limited existence, they just don't fully understand the rules yet. Give them another 50 years or so and they'll crack it.

Wankleman has said that he wants cards consistancy.

Well by getting 1 red card a match, they are consistant !!!
