Title: Paultons Park
Post by: pumbaa on Sunday, August 12, 2012, 09:32:08
Anyone been? Its the one with Peppa Pig world. Thinking of heading down there with two boys with Down's Syndrome age 4 and 3.

Any recommendations of a value for money place to stay in the New Forest too that cater for kids and isn't a Premier Inn.

We went there earlier this summer.  It's not cheap, but Peppa Pig World is pretty decent for the kids who are in to it.  You will be hearing the music in your head for days afterwards.

They have a massive slide there as well, just outside the Peppa Pig bit, with a surprisingly liberal height policy for accompanied kids - which, for me, was worth going for in its own right.

Not sure about accommodation.  Only a shortish trip down the motorway for us.

Excellent for younger kids.
Like all these things, not cheap, but it was the favourite day out for my two. And easy to get to.

We go quite often and it's a lot cheaper then everywhere else, I think a family ticket is about 80 quid where Legoland charges about 110ish.

Peppa Pig world is always rammed with the other areas ok generally.

Book online before you go and you miss the entrance queues, take a lunch and lockers are sparse.

Love the place. We have had many a good day there with our son and prior to that that my wife (evil step-mother) and I used to take my eldest son there when he was a small boy. Like all theme parks they are not cheap days out but then again I don't suppose they are cheap to run either. As for accommodation there is a premier inn next to the place but other than that you'll have to surf for what you need.

We took the Grandkids up to Gullivers world in Milton Keynes last week, was quite good value for £14.65 each (adults and kids pay same price). Loads of stuff for the little ones to do and there are rides that adults can go on as well. We took our own food and they had loads of seated/tables for picnicking. We got there about 1030, and didn't really have to queue for any of the rides only for the  Log flume (15 mins) and that was only because they were trying to get some water out of the log (it might be worth doing this one last). Will def try and get another visit in before the school hols end.

Great for younger kids and think its good value for the price of the family ticket. We have in the past spent the weekend camping in the ringwood area doing Paulton park one day and deer park the next which is also good for families. Deer park has a good adventure play area plus woodland walks etc and GoApe for older kids and adults.

Can only echo this is fantastic for younger kids, and that Pepper Pig world can get very busy. Last time it was quieter towards the end of the afternoon, but that depends how long you want to stay.
