It's pretty clear here that he said "I never called you a fucking black cunt, fucking knob head", although it would have been funny to see him found guilty as he's a massive cunt.

This looks like a guilty verdict to me... I'm baffled.

It wasn't him who reported it to the police intially, it was a member of the public.

I see it as this:

AF says something to JT

JT then thinks he's being accused of calling AF a Black c***

JT says something along the lines of "I didn't call you a Black c***, knob head" which is picked up by camera

AF then sees video back and accuses JT of racist abuse

JT says that he thought AF accused him of saying that and just repeated what he thought he heard

Yeah, I understand that's Terry's defence, but the magistrate seems to have dismissed that in his write up, yet then concluded he should be found not guilty. Doesn't make sense.

I just read through the full verdict. The judge seems to be saying that the evidence wasn't strong enough to support the claim that Terry had said it as an insult and that there was a possibility he had said it as a question in response to what he thought he had heard Ferdinand say. That possibility created enough doubt for a not guilty verdict to be the only option.

So more that the case could not be proven rather than him being innocent.

Not so sure about that as the burden of proof is different. In court it has to be beyond reasonable doubt whilst for the FA it just has to be on the balance of probability. So the FA could easily find him guilty even though the courts didn't.
