As I am missing the first couple of games due to work and holidays (I know!) I was looking at Carlisle in September.

Train tickets are £32 return from Euston at the moment.

Any London Reds or anyone else thinking of making the long trek?

I cant stress enough what a great weekend away this is, stay in Keswick take in the lakes, arguably the most beautiful part of the uk, football saturday, everyones a winner.

On my own???  I will be wandering like a fucking lonely cloud!!!

I am going and taking Mrs Horlock07 for a weekend in Carlisle (she liked it when we used to live up there) so we are staying in a B&B.

But I will warn you, when ever I go to games it all goes wrong (Preston last weekend - Stockport 4 years back when Aljofree offered out the entire away end ast half time) so if you think its going to be a good time you have been warned.

This is a bit of a long shot - I'm looking to get up to carlisle this weekend and if anyone is driving up there this weekend and has a space in their car I would be incredibly grateful for a lift. The world gurning championships are in ergemont and the train up there is over £100!!! I would be more than happy to chip in for petrol as well. Heres hoping you lot get a result this weekend too.

Undecided on this one. It's the perfect opportunity now I'm living relatively close to Carlisle, but I'm not sure I care enough to spend £30-£40 going to watch, especially after the last couple of games I've witnessed. Will probably decide on Saturday morning!

Decided this evening to go to this one over Pompey, no idea why but I feel a performance is on the cards here.

Anyone know if we can still buy tickets at the CG tomorrow as its £22 on the day and £19 in advance?

Same as above. I went to three away games last season, Cheltenham, Burton and Bradford. Didn't see us score ond sodding goal.
Picked up this season when I went to Stoke, then fell back a bit with Preston.
So with my track record and Horlock 07 probably best if everyone stays away.

With Rome derbies and Old firm derbies, plus a few other rather heated occasions under his belt I love it how some clubs think PDC will be intimidated by their fans.

I was 50/50 whether to go to this. That thread from the Carlisle forum has made my mind up. If they think they're like Galatasaray, and that they can wind Di Canio up to the point of being sent off (nobody else has managed it have they?) then i want to be there to see it!!

Di Canio wasn't restrained by stewards at Preston - he gave some lip to a few Preston fans and was told to stop. As for all the stuff about 'fit and proper persons' tests for managers, bringin the game into disrepute, milking promotion etc, what a load of cobblers! Like many other L1 and L2 fans they moan about the amount of coverage PDC gets yet seem to ignore the majority of what he says and does.

To be fair to them, after reading that thread back myself, I thing the whole Galatasary think was tongue in cheek.

The bloke up the road from me, also a Swindon fan hitched up his caravan this morning and set off for Carlisle. Does this a lot for the furthest away games and makes a weekend of it coming back Sunday. fair play to him.

When I went there was a golf club just beyond the ground. That was years ago mind. It may have changed to a rugby ground now.
