PAOLO Di Canio is set to start letting players know whether or not they are required for next season, but he’ll be doing so over the phone. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/9746909.Boss_to_break_news_to_players_by_phone/?ref=rss Title: Re: Adver News: Boss to break news to players by phone Post by: tin town on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 06:11:24 A text would be cheaper. Title: Re: Adver News: Boss to break news to players by phone Post by: fatbasher on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 07:23:35 I suspect those who get the :bye: phone call probably have a strong idea anyway. Not that that makes things any easier for them.

Did I miss the alleged row with Cibo reported in the comments? Title: Re: Adver News: Boss to break news to players by phone Post by: tans on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 08:37:56 Well get on with it then, this preseason is boring ;)

Why is that Red Frog 1? ALL managers at every level contact their players by phone, some have been sacked in a txt in the past, that doesnt make Paolo a bad man as it appears that you are yet again pertaining it to be. It also does not make him a bad manager despite what you think. There is probably not a football manager alive that has not told a player he is not wanted by phone and not face to face, some players are not available for a face to face when the need to tell them comes about. And the rumour of a bust up with Cibocchi is just that, a rumour, posted on a web site that has more dodgy rumours than pretty much any other web site connected to football (excluding the football rumours web site that everyone knows is crap). Enjoy it for what it is, a time to get away from the tribulations of being a Town fan... :badmood: looks like no fucking cricket though for a couple of days. He went from being a first-team starter, to not making the bench. Title: Re: Adver News: Boss to break news to players by phone Post by: Paolo69 on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 11:13:31 Until it's confirmed/denied then it's still a "rumour" though.
Ok it sounds feasible but it's still a rumour. Something that is more than just a rumour is surely what's called a fact? Title: Re: Adver News: Boss to break news to players by phone Post by: Trashbat? on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 11:19:59 So a made up on the spot lie is also a rumour?
In that case I would like to announce the rumour of my 12 inch penis Title: Re: Adver News: Boss to break news to players by phone Post by: Red Frog on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 11:25:12 Why is that Red Frog 1? Actually, I was making the same point as you - that telling players they're not in their plans is part of the manager's job. Hope you're right about Cibo, otherwise we may need both McEveley and back-up, unless Thompson is considered enough. I thought Cibocchi was injured at the end of the campaign anyway.
