He is just a washed up, unfunny tool and he was probably correct when he said he was the token black man. Actually none of the comics were even remotelly funny.

He raised a smirk from me tonight which is more than he's done in the last 15 or so years.

I have to say I didn't feel like it was racist.  Possibly a bit misjudged - and definitely not funny.  Just like all of his material.

Fuck off is that racist. However it is unfunny. I was at a do the other month and Lenny Henry was the link man all day, and did an alright job. However at the evening do he started banging on about black issues and bearing in mind his crowd were middle aged successful white businessmen, his humour fell on deaf ears. The slavery jokes weren't well received at all.

Think Lenny needs to hang up his joke book and concentrate on his Premier Inn career.

I used to sell Lenny Henry his Sunday morning french stick and Observer way back when he lived in Erlestoke. He is much nicer than Quentin Howard.

I like Lenny Henry....his Wilderbeast character years back was funny and generally comes across as a nice bloke.
