Title: Ants Post by: Sippo on Sunday, May 27, 2012, 17:36:16 Is it just our neighbourhood or are there ants everywhere at the moment?! Inside and outside the house. No ant killer seems to kill them.

Title: Re: Ants Post by: Sippo on Sunday, May 27, 2012, 17:43:28 I know. First a wasp nest then ants. These ants aren't just in the immediate vicinity though. A lot Of neighbours have the white powder down.

I hate the cretins. I bought something called Nippon, I think, that is a sticky fluid that ants love to eat. Put a large drop or 10 on a piece of plastic near the holes and they eat it, take it back to the nest and wipe the colony out. It's ace. I used to surround a hole in my kitchen, where I saw some disappear down, and they would consume, in their hoards, vast amounts of it. Within a week, no more ants. But they do become immune to it over time. Title: Re: Ants Post by: slinky on Sunday, May 27, 2012, 22:24:19 Anyone know how to get rid of red ants in a lawn? I have 5 or 6 nests front and back and they are making a right mess. Have tried ant powder, gel and boiling water and the little fuckers are still there. Any advice would be appreciated!

Title: Re: Ants Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, May 28, 2012, 08:13:40 I found an ants nest inside the brickwork of my old BBQ when I demolished it last year. There were thousands of ants and eggs. Managed to kill them all off with a mixture of boiling water and ant powder.

In Freddie's Ferret's case, a jam roly-poly. Title: Re: Ants Post by: yeo on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 14:01:25 Unless they are coming in your house and slowly eating your children its beyond me why you lot are spending so much time and effort killing them.
