Is coming to Swindon!!!  Don't know if it has been posted but it would appear that DD is one of the torch bearers when the torch comes to Swindon tomorrow.  Leading it off from Wharf Green apparently.  Would that be the Samsung link-up?

After watching the local news it suprised me how many people were in the towns and villages to see the passing of the flame. High profiles like Drogba in Swindon Is sure to get a few more people coming into town. Didn't think there was that much interest in the olympics but maybe I'm wrong.

I've taken half a day off to take my lad tomorrow. He seems to be into it and I am quite looking forward to the games themselves, but not really the relay or the opening ceremony*.

Doubt we'll go into town, it'll be rammed. So no Drogba for us!

I didn't have an opinion either way on Drogba, until I saw him on Graham Norton and they talked about the major role he played in stopping the civil war in Ivory Coast. Massive fan now, always good to see a footballer using their fame for good rather than getting pissed up and shagging everything with a pulse.

Guessing Drogba will be bringing the torch into Wharf Green, like you say it will be rammed but there is other stuff going on (if wheelchair tiddlywinks is your thing). any ideas of good viewing points would be appreciated, and parking come to think of it. Anyone in town got a drive way spare? :hmmm:

Aside from his diving (and the occasional moan/sulk on the pitch), i think he's a model pro. Keeps himself fit, works hard, rarely involved in off-field scandals, and a humanitarian/good guy to boot.

Fucking beast of a player and seen him a few times vs arsenal and he gave the back 4 a torrid time. Ruined it by being a diving cunt though and don't think he should be in Swindon carrying the torch.

Who is the other celeb supposed to be doing it?  I'm surprised Di Canio isn't doing it tbh. He's just as high profile and at least he has an affinity with the area.
