Quote Good luck to you but one thing is for sure and that is that I would not swap Di Canio for Wilder any day of the week. A top class lower league manager with a proven record as opposed to someone who knows nothing at all about managing at any level Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 16:27:36 Stayed at Oxford and won fuck all
Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 16:29:11 I think di Canio's unsettling of the Scum by pretending to want to buy Constable was a master stroke. Machiavelli would have been proud of him.

Benson 13 goals in 28 games Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Ardiles on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 16:47:48 I was up near Reading today with family and stumbled across BBC Radio Oxford on the way home. Turned on just as Vale's third goal went in and got the beginning of the post-match/season phone in before losing reception. Consensus among their fans seemed to be that Wilder has taken them as far as he can and that Leneghan will have to spend in order for them to progress. We were even cited as an example of a club who has done just that. So not everyone there seems to think we are spendthrifts about to go the way of Port Vale and Pompey.

With reported debts of 33 mill, can they really afford to spend big? :) Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: chalkies_shorts on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 17:08:25 Don't be so harsh - another 26 points ( minimum 9 games ) and they'd have pipped us. Still they can always try again next season..............doh! I hear Fleetwood is delightful on a Tuesday night in January.
Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: ronnie21 on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 17:16:13 Well, at the risk of being too controversial, I would like to congratulate Oxford!! At least they didn't implode around xmas this season, they waited until they had beaten us and then fucked it up big time!! Now learn your real place in football cunts! :bye: :bye: :bye:
Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Summerof69 on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 17:21:14 And the plan PdC did on transfer deadline day by sending Bodin to Crewe on loan has worked a treat.
Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Arnold.J.Rimmer on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 17:32:25 I didn't realise they were 33m in debt . Bad times ahead for Oxford
Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Summerof69 on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 17:52:44 Pox mentality : Duberry admits that when he signed he was told by Pox fans that you have to beat Swindon.
Swindon mentality : Players told that they were here to get promotion. I wouldn't be surprised if that was actually part of Paolo's thinking. He's used to big derbies from his previous clubs, Lazio, Celtic etc, and he was allegedly an "Ultra" at Lazio, so he understands the emotions involved with the fans. He built up the tension for the first game, and hated losing it. He hated losing the second one even more. What with the whole Constable thing, I think he has learnt to hate the yellow filth as much as we do (or at least some of us do). I wouldn't put it past him to have identified Crewe as one of the filth's challengers, and hence let Bodin go there. If that's the case then the man is a true genius Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: TheDukeOfBanbury on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 21:48:42 £34 million my reliable source tells me :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:
and a potential ground share with Didcot Town next season due to non-payment of rent to Uncle Firoz. :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: Di Canio sacked by Christmas and Swindon in the Conference.........Then they woke up and realised it was just a dream. Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: Not that Nice If I'm Honest on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 11:00:01 There doesn't seem to be any Filth fans on here anymore
Could somebody please offer an explanation ? Title: Re: Agents Wilder and Constable Post by: ron dodgers on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 18:08:44 I think OF is spending a lot of time drafting his reply. He doesn't want to go over the top with praise but, on the other hand, I think he feels he needs to acknowledge our supreme effort in pissing League 2.
