Title: Euro 12 UEFA concerns Post by: janaage on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 06:57:19 Not sure if this has been brought up on here. But these two articles have got my back up this morning. Platini criticising the Ukraine hoteliers for putting up their prices and a football union chief raising concerns that there may be racism issues with Ukraine/Polish supporters and that visiting supporters may struggle to get around the place, especially as most locals only speak their mother tongue.
Well, no shit sherlock. I think every man and his dog knew this when UEFA awarded the tournament to these countries. I know there are always scare stories pre-tournaments but I do wonder if UEFA have bitten off more than they can chew with this one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-17688052 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17734861 Roll on the 24 team France 2016! After all, living in East Anglia he can probably speak Polish Title: Re: Euro 12 UEFA concerns Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 11:52:10 Not sure if this has been brought up on here. I have been criticising the decision to award this tournament to Poland and Ukraine since Scotland played in Kiev a few years back. Bunch of crooks, hoolies and racist nut jobs. Expect more of the same for Russia 2018. Thanks very much Uefa and Fifa.Well, no shit sherlock. I think every man and his dog knew this when UEFA awarded the tournament to these countries. Any country hosting any sporting even would and do do this, so its hardly a shock and a football union chief raising concerns that there may be racism issues with Ukraine/Polish supporters Not may be, there WILL be issues with racism, Its still a very large issue with eastern europe and that visiting supporters may struggle to get around the place, especially as most locals only speak their mother tongue. Tough shit, its not every countries obligation to learn English is it? Maybe im being bias because i speak polish but still :-) Title: Re: Euro 12 UEFA concerns Post by: Ralphy on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 11:55:51 I have been criticising the decision to award this tournament to Poland and Ukraine since Scotland played in Kiev a few years back.
