Are they in the proper conference or in the regional conference below it?

BBC Southern Counties Radio have a Saturday sport programme on, and they are covering pre-season friendlies. Seem to be covering the test quite a lot though, but may give out updates etc.

Is local radio in Swindon covering at all?

They've just done a pre-match visit to the ground, nothing on team news though, more about the 2 million the new owners are going to invest.
Apparantly we are a solid league outfit, and Crawley haven't been in great pre-season form, didn't play well to Millwall last Saturday, and lost to Littlehampton in the week. They did say they will go back and get regular updates so could be the place to keep up to date.

I would but I'm off out shortly, it's on listen live on the BBC website for Southern Counties.

A draw at Crawley would be a decent outcome.....and also unexpected.....they're the sort of club we could easily be playing in 06/07.

It would be interesting to see how their wage bill comparesd to ours.

Maybe 2007-08 Reg, they could come up next year to League 2, pretty confident we're not going down though.

They're full time like most Non-League Conference clubs, with the money put in I bet they're fairly close to our wage structure if not ahead of it seeing as we pay the lowest wages in the division.

They did say Evans wasn't playing.......not looking good for him.....the inexorable law of sod dictates that King wouldn't get a number two in and Evans would be crocked.

The Adver says injury will be 7/10 days I think so getting close to the Barnsley game, that is the thing which concerns me most at the moment.

Bulman doesn't seem good enough to rely on, King may go for Jordan on loan but seems to think he and Bulman are fairly even so doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me either.

I would say its very concerning and we will have a relegation battle on our hands after all.

I doubt Crawley have a history of financial problems like us so you can buy them cheaply with not so much risk. Nice to see Pooky get a goal. I hope Rhys is fit soon.

How biased was that commentator? Never gave us any credit. Yeah they are a conference side but we came back from 2-0 down against apparently the best passing side in the world.

So we won 4-3, good to see Cureton get a couple of goals, just not sure about the backup for Rhys. Hope no-one was injured. Sounds like Pook might be worth a go in the side.

Very interesting, we could do with a midfielder who can smash em' in from distance.

This is the sort of thing which will do his confidence no harm, because it looks like he's going to be starting at Barnsley.

I can see quite an exciting yet frustrating season coming up.

Unless we sign another defender and/or midfielder then I can see King opting for three up front at this stage Cureton/Fallon/Thorpe with an overall very attacking line-up.

Think we'll concede goals for fun but have the potential to rip opponents apart with some devastating attacking play.  Unfortunately it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to grind out results against stubborn opposition at this stage.

I’m quite optimistic still.  Think we have potential to make the old playoffs and at worst have n entertaining season and a couple of good cup runs.

Here's the report: http://www.swindontownfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10341~689820,00.html

Few interesting things, Pook got a 22 yard goal. King still wants 3 more players, Caton did play on the left like he does in the reserves, Ifil gave away the penalty. Also mentions the chance of a hastily arranged friendly against Norwich next week.

Title: Which non league outfit
