Looking at the fixtures im confident we can even afford a few more defeats and still win the league. Some of the teams below us still have to play each other so will drop points.

Was thinking this the other day, the seven or eight points we had/have over other teams are like get out of jail free cards and I'm hoping we can save a couple for the last few games run in.

Shrews, Gillingham and Crawley all play their games in hand on 27th March before we are back in League action after Tuesday's game against Torquay. Need to make sure we are back on our game on Tuesday and maintain that gap at the top. A win would keep us clear by 7 and see us through top to the Rovers game. With the other teams playing each other as well hopefully they take points of each other.

I win against Torquay and it will be looking very good (as opposed to just 'good' which is how it looks at the moment). Although I would actually take a draw. This would also mean that we would still be top when we play Rovers.

More than one person at the start of yesterday's match thread stated that the game was a "Must Win". How they came to that conclusion, based on our league position and the number of games left to play, baffles me.
We will drop more points between now and the end of the season, as will all the chasing pack, we're still going up as Champions though.

I've said before that I'll take a draw against Torquay. Won't be an easy game at all, and to come out of it 3 or 4 points clear with a game in hand would be fantastic.

Win or draw Tuesday would be good.  Don't want to be going into Sunday's game on the back of 2 defeats as I feel it would just add to the pressure.

I think there are several people in many match day thread that state it's a must win. It often gets on my tits (it doesn't take much), because on very few of these occasions have any of them actually been must wins.

Of all the games recently this is the most likely to be called a must win, but the season is still young and the true "must win" games are not with us yet.

Its not like there is anything other than 3 points riding on these games.

Like I said before the Cheltenham game, it's just important to keep them at arms length, so a draw tomorrow night will be a good result. We still have a game in hand on them (2 again after we miss out on Saturdays round of matches), people are getting seriously twitchy! No need for it and the players will sense it. We need to continue getting behind the team and not stress too badly! 10 points will secure promotion no problem.

Agreed, though the thing that worries me is Torquay and Shrewsbury could also capitalise if we have a post JPT wobble.

We aren't going to.

Crawley picked up 6 bookings in that win so that could take a toll but have won last 4 and drawn 2. Shrews abandoned game means we might have our games in hand first. We need to ensure we pick up full points against Rovers on Sat and look for 4 points from the two away games after and we would be close to promotion based on previous seasons. Rovers could be tricky as they always seem to give us a tough time at the CG.

I'd be amazed if 7 more points (83) weren't enough for autos.

Friday sees

Southend v Cheltenham
Barnet v Torquay

Sounds like a 22 man brawl after the Bradford - Crawley match with good punches thrown according to the Bradford forum. Appears Parkinson didn't shake Fat Cunt's hand and it all kicked off.

Talk of 5 red cards being dished out as a result, including Claude Davis and Pablo Mills. Ban the lot of the cunts I reckon!

Excellent.

On the Crawley forums it says 3 Bradford walked too. Shame it wasn't 5 Crawley..

Just seen it on "local news". Ugly scenes at the end (not just Steve Evans smiling) - mass brawl and I would say at least 2 Crawley players can look forward to 3 match bans.

Evans should be banned for good for inciting that.

At least Crawley cannot get out of receiving an FA charge for not controlling their players.

Well well.  Honestly, its disgraceful that a fine upstanding club like crawley had to put up with evil swindon players surrounding the referee for 10 seconds a few weeks ago.  They are such angels after all as you can see from that video.

According to some Bradford fans, Evans stood there calling Parkinson a Wanker for most of the second half.  Sooner or later he will get what's coming to him.  The FA seem scared to do anything about him, and with his history too.

They were charged along with us after our game so the FA aren't going to be to impressed that it has happened again.

Seen this on Sky Sports News and this was a full on mass brawl. There two central defenders where in the thick of it with the No 4 laying punches into the Bradford keeper whilst the others held on onto him. Bradford keeper ws going wild and the Lino was in the middle of it.

Maybe just this time the FA will throw the book at Crawley and a points deduction takes place.

Title: Re: Tuesdays Fixtures
Post by: Notts red on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 22:59:49
It's been reported that both Kyle McFadzean and Claude Davis were shown red cards along with 3 Bradford players including Andrew Davies who will now serve a five match ban after being sent of twice already this season. All the cards were shown in the changing rooms after the fighting had stopped ! Evans seems to be blaming the whole thing on one Bradford player.

Title: Re: Tuesdays Fixtures
Post by: Saxondale on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 23:15:03
Evans has said it was just handbags.  Bradford take on it seems to be that Crawley are a dirty bunch of cunts and the ref allowed them to get away with murder in the 90 minutes.  Now I have no great love for Bradford, but I know who Ill believe!

I should bloody well hope so. Mind you we'll get a fine too knowing the FA!
