Looking at the penalty, not that it matters, surely the foul starts outside the box so it should of been a freekick. Even though I think its Duffy doing to foul.

I've even been told we were outclassed due to the possession they had. Which equated to 1 more shot off target than we had. If shooting at the keeper counts towards that then yeah, fair play. Chortle.

Posession was 60/40 in their favour so if that is the case, yeah they had the ball more than us, but we clearly did more with it as we won.

I've seen it 3 or 4 times now and no way was it a penalty. Duffy clearly backed into Risser and bulldozed him over.

it was a pen, risser had his arms around him and pulled him down..

outside the box, as Duffy backed into him.

Who cares if it was penalty.

I've watched the highlights and stopped it frame by frame. Risser did not have his hands around him at any point. Duffy was more or less running backwards into Risser.

Even if I am mistaken, they both started going down OUTSIDE the box. If there was a foul committed it was a free kick and not a penalty.

I hate to labour the point but, it wasnt a bear hug by any means, it was subtle, but risser did have his hands up at the guys waist level....

Even if that is the case, you do know that a foul must be committed INSIDE the box for it to be a penalty?

We all know how shite that ref was at the weekend, it's hardly a surprise he gave a pen. Anyway, that wasn't to be the last time Duffy bottled it when one on one with Big Wes.

The incident in question was right in front of me in the DRS. Duffy was annoyed as a town player had blocked him a little in the build up. He chased the free ball, looked up at Risser and bundled straight into him. Nothing Risser could do other than try to stand his ground. Never a pen in a miilion years.

Clever or cheating play from Duffy depending on which way you take it. Never a pen though.

I tell you what, you clearly seem to have spotted something the rest of us have missed so why not find the point of the 'tug' and stick it up here for us.

Watch Duffy's legs and he is virtually sprinting backwards. At one point he seems to lean right into Risser with his Shoulder. He pushed Risser over.

I find it hard to be too critical of the Ref because he doesn't have the luxury of highlights before making his decision.

Wasn't a pen. But if rissers arms were up then it's further helped duffy cheat a weak ref .

The good thing is Wes saved it and that inspired us to score

Risser is falling backwards but his arms are not down to break his fall, they are up at duffys waist...

Yep as he tries to stand his ground. They maybe up at his waist but they ain't tugging anything (Ooo er Mrs)

All I can see of Risser in that is his legs..... as he is seemingly going down from the foul by Duffy

just going on what I saw, not reporting on a bit of fuzzy video...how many times have you seen a tackle from different angles which didnt look like pen from one, but was a dead cert from others?

More inportantly shudnt duffy had been sent off for his lunge after wes had saved his pen?

i think it looks more of a pen on vid, than i did frm my seat in arkells.

Didn't spot what he did at the time, that lunge looks awful on the highlights and he could easily have walked.

I've looked at the pen again, difficult to tell from that angle where Rissers left arm is. I still haven't seen anything that changes my mind that Duffy turned around headed backwards and fell over. But J O may well have been in the Town End with the perfect view, who really cares (about the pen) now anyway.

Um i was about half way back in the block nearest the townend. Sorry to support Flash (and his fuzzy vid) but there's no way you'll convince me it was a pen. The way Duffy crashed into Risser the only thing he could have done to avoid contact was to move out of the way, which obviously wouldn't exactly have been great defending.

Never a pen but I can understand why it was given with just one look at it, so can't blame the ref too much.

Agree, when I saw it live, I thought it was stone wall but when I watched the highlights it was never a pen.

I never thought it was a pen live...and more so when watching the highlights.

Duffy should've been sent off. The ref got the yellow card out quick to stop any Swindon player influencing his decision to turn it into a red.

Meh...still looks like a pen to me...not that it matters or ever did matter seeing as they didn't score.

My mate and me were sat level with the penalty spot and he said it was a stonewall and I said it wasn't a pen. Meh, we won.

I think we can all agree that Duffy was clever, but you can see why it was given (even if it wasn't one!). Case closed  :)

Evens out, the one before with Mohammed?? looked a stonewall to me.
