Title: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: SwindonTownFans on Friday, March 2, 2012, 15:49:24 Derby day is nearly upon us. The Robins’ have lost the two competitive fixtures against rivals Oxford United but make the short trip to the Kassam Stadium hoping to continue a fine 10 game winning streak and avenge The O’s win at the County Ground earlier in the season. In preparation for Saturday’s local derby, ‘My Swindon Town Review’ has caught up with Oxford season ticket holder Steve Butcher (@SteveButcher72), who gives us his views on season expectations, a certain James Constable and how he sees this weekend’s clash.
Remember queuing in -10 degrees at the County Ground for a ticket? Let’s hope it’s worth it... Does he realise they are NINE points away from third? So that's five disappointing home draws that should have been wins? Other than that, a good read. Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: oxford_fan on Friday, March 2, 2012, 16:16:30 So that's five disappointing home draws that should have been wins? Definitely, we've drawn loads of really frustrating games this season which should have been wins. Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: Batch on Friday, March 2, 2012, 16:24:14 Quote and Beano’s (James Constable) two goals will go down as two of the most important goals in the clubs history I think they mean memorable, because they may have hurt us but they weren't important. Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: Benzel on Friday, March 2, 2012, 16:40:10 Don't put words into his mouth. If he thinks they're 2 of the most important goals Oxford have ever scored, then it just confirms our thoughts on them.

Ifs and buts. Every team has them. The facts speak for themselves at the end of the day.......Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: oxford_fan on Friday, March 2, 2012, 17:14:11 That is obvious, I was just responding to the question.

Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: Navyred stfc on Friday, March 2, 2012, 18:10:53 Kerrouche has been poor for them, job done.
Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: oxford_fan on Friday, March 2, 2012, 22:54:56 He came on as a sub for his first appearance and set up a goal, looked a decent player. But hasn't played since. I think we only signed him to cover really, as we've got Potter, Craddock, and Pittman out.
Title: Re: An opposing view - Oxford United Post by: janaage on Friday, March 2, 2012, 23:04:17 Been listening to a fair bit of Jack FM the last few days. Have to say it's embarrassing how much the Oxford hate us. They had a competition on this morning called 'Swindon't' where you had to get questions about swindon wrong to win. Two of the questions asked were as follows
People born in Swindon are A. Swindonians B. Very unlucky. Swindon is home to Can't remember option A B. 26 people who went to university Hilarious stuff. Although in fairness they do play some quality music on the whole.
