Title: New HDD Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, 11:48:22 Bad time to have to buy a new HDD but one of my old 500GB Seagates is dying very quickly.

They're looking cheaper now and I used to love Seagate. I think as long as you avoid Hitachi/IBM Deskstars (a personal hate of mine) you're probably good.

They're good. :toocool: Unless it's for the OS I wouldn't bother, as sonic is looking at a 2tb guess it's for storage. Is the sata controller a 3 sonic? They're probably very good, I just have a phobia of them. I think I went through 3 in a year and then lost 250GB from a backup because one kicked the bucket. so i think i'll keep the moments and sell my RMA replacement which is a Western Digital Scorpion Black |
