Title: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: Flintfan on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 15:59:11 Due an upgrade next week. Got a iPhone 4 at the moment. Has anyone gone from a 4 to a 4s? Are there any major, better improvements? Is it worth the fee?
Or are there any better phones on the market? Cheers in advance. Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: stfcinbmth on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:06:13 Better phone, yes the Samsung Galaxy SII
That's according to PC Pro Mag any how. I'd rather an Android than an Apple personally Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:06:55 I have. I was lucky in that I found a glitch in a website when buying my 4, so got the handset free of charge. I sold it to pay for the 4s. Apart from siri, which is a gimmick and you won't use after a week, there isn't really too much more to it.
Better camera, faster processor but its not earth shattering. At the end of the day its down to the individual. If I had to pay for it I would say no, but effectivly as I didn't it hasn't been what I expected it to be. Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: Flintfan on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:12:21 Crikey, that was quick. I'm a bit thick with new technology so reluctant to move away from iPhones. Tempted by the Samsung though.

Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: Barry Scott on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:33:00 There's not really much between any that I can tell, it just depends who you're a fan of. :)
Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: hobodan on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:39:22 I would definitely stick with apple; I went from an iPhone to a HTC Desire Hd after lapping up all the android waffle. Whilst its certainly not a bad phone I much prefer the iphone and apple software.. Apple gear just seems to work & is a lot nicer to use than android.
The only benefit to android is flash support & a billion free crap American apps Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: WR5 on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:39:39 There's not really much between any that I can tell, it just depends who you're a fan of. :) This I stick with Apple kit as I use it at work , so it all works nicely together Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: stfcinbmth on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:49:54 Crikey, that was quick. Bloke at work has got the Samsung, the screen is just amazing Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: nochee on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:52:32 Bloke at work has got the Samsung, the screen is just amazing It feels quite cheap to hold though, I thought so anyway. Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: LucienSanchez on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 16:52:34 Upgraded from a 3G to a HTC Desire and much preferred Android. However, the phone itself was a pile of shit and stopped working twice. I moved back to my 3G (which is now slow as fuck) and am due an upgrade in April. I'll probably go for the Samsung as i really did enjoy the speed and features of Android, and i trust it'll be more reliable than the HTC i had. I can't justify paying through the nose for an iPhone (considering they were no more than £99 when i got my first 2).
I was also considering the BlackBerry Bold 9900, but the screen is a bit on the small side. Title: Re: iPhone 4 v iPhone 4s Post by: slinky on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 17:05:57 I would stick with what you have and wait until the iPhone 5 comes out. Going from a 4 to a 4s isn't a huge leap.

The iPhone does have a more luxurious feel, but the screen on the Samsung is fantastic, it's so much larger and hence I feel more useful. Also, I much prefer android anyway, as you have more freedom to do what you want with the phone, rather than the iOS which is quite restricted. S2 is really thin as well... Much lighter than the iPhone, but I guess it depends whether you want a bulky luxury feeling phone, or a lightweight and slim phone that still looks neat. |
