I don't have many thoughts on it. My main thought is that at least if it gets postponed I might make it to the re-scheduled date.

Will be keeping one eye on the Crawley v Cheltenham game, a draw would suit us nicely there, although a win for either side wouldn't be so bad for us aswell.

So, anyway, I assume there is no snow in Swindon? Got to drive back from York today, which will be "interesting" until we reach a major road as we have 3 inches and are staying well off the beaten track.

Irrelevant to the game either way, it'll be gone by then!

yeah we all know what happened when a thread like this was started before Torquay. Delete.

I think maybe the match will go ahead. But then again, perhaps it won't.  :sherlock:

I've noticed over the last few years that Swindon seems to get off more lightly in general when snow falls than we do.  We have 2 to 3 inches here.  Even though we're less than 60 miles away by road (and prob not much more than 40 miles away as the crow flies) we always seem to get more snow.

Why is it that the east in general, and particularly counties like Norfolk and Lincolnshire, seem to get heaviest hit?  In terms of rainfall, the east tends to be dryer.

Is Swindon not in a valley?

Could have something to do with it perhaps?

East Anglia is flat and open to the elements.

It also gets the cold fronts blowing in from Russia.

The west is wetter and usually milder due to the gulf stream.

Don't know about a valley but we are situated between the Cotswolds and the Downs so that may have something to do with it.  Just to the east, the Chilterns seemed to get a battering last night!

We've had about 4-6 ins overnight.

Just hoping that it's gone by Tuesday.

Looking at the pictures on the official site, it looked like we had the same kit that the shitheads used to defrost their pitch, and obviously they got their game on.

Hopeful that the game on Tuesday is ok

Funny how the weather works. Had about an inch of snow here in bath yesterday afternoon, it had all melted by midnight. Quite warm now

No snow left at all in North Swindon. So warm that I have just turned the heating off after 4 consecutive days & nights.

As a consequence wouldn't have thought that there will be a problem on Tuesday, save another -10 tonight or tomorrow.t

Having a cheeky look around the Barnet forum, they've already started a 'Barnet v Chesterfield JPT Final Thread'...confident and secondly, they've sold around 180 tickets for Tuesday!

Personally I think if the game goes ahead we'll beat them 3-0 and get to Wembley!

I am looking forward to another London trip on Saturday back to their place where a few 'cue sera seras' will be bellowed out from our lot  :D C.O.Y.R!!!

To be fair, the starter of that thread is getting a bit of a bashing for it.

We will be travelling 380 mile round trip on Tuesday to see the game, so the next 48 hours will be interesting.
Next day or so looks ok (above freezing) so the thaw will be on but by Tues night back to -4C, so just praying decision is made as early as possible and that if its on, the weather change during Tuesday doesn't lead to a 6pm call off  :headhurts:

Well, when PDC emails you reminding you that the players can't hear you shouting at the tv, you don't really have a choice, do you   :D

-1 on Met Office, -4 on BBC. Supposed to be warmer in the day so I'm sure it'll be on.
