Title: Problem with a HTC phone Post by: reeves4england on Friday, January 27, 2012, 17:54:23 Dear wise and learned members of the TEF...
I currently have two problems with my HTC Wildfire S. First, it's stopped downloading apps. I click download, the symbol comes up in the bar at the top, and then it disappears and nothing happens. Second, when the screen is locked, it comes up with an image of a friend saying "incoming call" every time I touch the screen, then I unlock it and nothing is happening. Any advice on either of these problems would be greatly appreciated! Title: Re: Problem with a HTC phone Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, January 27, 2012, 18:12:23 I would suggest a factory reset then. Might want to back everything up first.

Will give them a call in case there's any other fix - if not I'll go for that. Only got the phone recently, so nothing on there I'm bothered about losing. Title: Re: Problem with a HTC phone Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, January 27, 2012, 19:20:13 To fix the market problem I would try the following:
From the home screen go to settings>applications>manage applications>all>market and select 'clear cache' and then 'clear data'. Then re-open the market and sign in again. If it still doesn't work then try these suggestions http://www.nanacide.com/my-android-wont-download-apps/howtofixit.php As for the other issue: Are you getting a false call when you touch the screen when locked or is the problem that a real call disappears straight away after locking? And tried a few of the suggestions on Si's link, to no avail. Gone for the factory reset. Will see how it goes. |
