Title: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: wokinghamred on Saturday, January 21, 2012, 18:26:20 Chesterfield got their first win since 17th September today, 2-1 at Colchester, and Liam Ridehalgh had a hand in both goals. Sign him up for next season Paolo. Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: corner on Saturday, January 21, 2012, 18:29:25 he played on the wing rather than left back

Sign him up for next season Paolo. I really rated this player. Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: Spud on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 21:42:39 I was very surprised that we didn't try and keep him here until the end of the season.
Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: Dazzza on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 21:57:29 Shame we didnt, he looked a real asset but wasnt there a mumbling or two we didn't want to become to reliant on loan players?
I think the reliance on loan players was the downfall of Danny "Feckin" Wilson and to a lesser extent the smoking chimp, post-playoff season. Thought we lodged a bid? May have been for someone else at the same time. I'm almost certainly wrong.... May have been for someone else at the same time. I'm almost certainly wrong.... I thought this too, seem to remember Udds didn't want to let him go. Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: Dazzza on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 22:07:21 Must have missed that, I thought we tried to extend it to the end of the season, which would have been good enough.
Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: Ironside on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 22:11:03 Thinking about it, may have been what dazzza said, loan to the end of season.
Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 22:44:04 I thought Paolo sent him back early?
Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: Nijholts Nuts on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 22:58:33 Didn't Huddersfield want to do some sort of swap deal for Clarke? Obviously he went to Charlton and we got Benson out that equation, but could explain why we didn't get him back. Shame he was pretty nifty. Having said that I think Kennedy is got good things ahead of him.
Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: SuggWillSugg MBE on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 23:29:34 I thought that 1. We didn't want to be too reliant on loans and 2. Hudders had a League 1 team (Chesterfield evidently) come in and want him for the season so sent him there instead..
I seem to remember his sister popping up on one of the facebook grops saying he loved it here and wanted to stay... Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: Nijholts Nuts on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 23:31:36 Did she look fit?
Title: Re: Liam Ridehalgh Post by: SuggWillSugg MBE on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 23:35:30 Yes.
